These are the ones my father and I put up as a child. Great Lights for Outdoors

With so many people doing the white lights we wanted to try more colorful ones. These lights show up great and have a vintage feel. We love how they look. I purchased about 20 boxes and each bulb on every strand lit when we tested them prior to putting up. Great purchase.

bulbs blow easy

bulbs are blowing all the time. I'm having to replace. decided to go with big bulbs this year but this is ridiculous.

Great Set of Lights

Great Set of Lights. They look bright and colorful. They remind me of the lights we had for years on our house when I was a youngster.

Not my first choice!

They okay but the string is not long enough? Also they get very hot to the touch.

Old-fashioned Christmas

Just what I wanted, reminds me of the lights I grew up with! The big, brightly-colored bulbs make a nice display at the front of my house, visible for quite a ways. I do hope they hold up for a few years but, at this price, I can afford to replace strands as needed. I did find a great tip from an older review that there is a spare fuse within the plug, something I didn't know. It was so easy ordering them online and popping into the front door to pick them up!

Awesome lights! One step to make them better

These are the best incandescent bulbs for lighting up an area. They are the bigger bulbs and really put on a show. I like the smooth coated bulbs vs the clear ones because the colors are more true. One IMPORTANT THING to make these better. You can only connect 3 strands in a row because there is a fuse on the male end of the cord. If you ask the guys in the electrical department to show you where the male replacement heads are you can easily swap out the original fused male plug with a normal m...

C9 Christmas lights

These were the worst lights ever! They fell off of the light string itself. They were only hanging on there. They are made with 2 plastic pieces that have to snap over the light cord. I took 5 strands back to the store. And of the 7 I already had up, I can only strand 3 together or they blow out the fuse. Was really looking forward to them, but I just only hope the ones I have up will survive the Christmas season. First time I ever got anything from Lowe's I was totally disappointed in!

Lots of inop lights

These strands feel and look heavy-duty, but 8 bulbs out of 75 (3 stands total) didn't work. That's a failure rate of almost 11% right out of the box -- pretty dismal. These lights are hard to find, so I just bit the bullet. Fortunately, I had bought some packs of GE Replacement Bulbs (Item #0394491) from Lowe's at the same time. This is only the second year and 4 of the 20 strings won't light. Tried changing fuses but no luck. Also covers fall off easy.

just like when i was little

i have been shopping around for lights from when i was little. they always seemed a little pricey. i came across the lowes web site and was hoping i would find what i was looking for. i was so excited to see them and to see them for a price i just couldnt pass up. i am so happy with this product. i have told all my friends and family about lowes.

Nothing beats old-school

Just like we used to have as kids. They look so amazing on the house. They do get hotter than LED and use more electricity, but it's minimal and these look so much better than the LED lights we've used the past few years. I'm thrilled!

Poor quality, poor design

We purchased 4 sets of these lights for our roof line. The first problem is that you can only string two light sets together. The second problem is that there was at least 1 bulb out on each set, 2 bulbs on two of the sets. The third problem is that for us, in order to complete the roofline, we needed 4 sets but because of the limitation of stringing only two together, we had to use a power outlet on opposite ends of the house...no biggie, except that the bulbs are strung to be installed in one ...
