What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this pull switch for effortless installation and reliable performance. Most highlight smooth operation, perfect fit for existing fixtures, and exceptional value—a five-dollar fix for a hundred-fifty-dollar fan. Many confirm it works perfectly in ceiling fans and antique lighting. However, some report premature failure, with chains snapping after weeks or months of use. Several note conflicting amp ratings on packaging versus website, causing confusion and returns. Despite these durability and specification concerns, the vast majority view it as a practical, cost-effective solution.

Would RecommendWorked perfectly as a replacementry for a defective switch.
Easy to install but....
Would RecommendVery easy and cheap way to fix fan, but make sure you buy extra chain. The chain on the product barely came out from under the dome. Hooking up extra chain proved to be harder than hooking up the new switch.
Doesn’t last
Would Not RecommendBroken after 6 months of average use. Started feeling sticky a couple weeks prior to failure. At least it gave me a warning shot.

did the trick
Would Recommendswitch was an exact fit for replacing the switch in my Harbor Bay ceiling fan. Easy to install. We'll see how it holds up...
These break easily.
Would Not RecommendI have a lamp over a sink in the garage that I rarely use...I don't do much work that requires washing up at night. In two years I've gone through three of these switches. They break very easily, even when you are trying to be extra careful because you know they're cheaply made. After the third one I rewired the entire lamp to use a different style of switch. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this switch now.
Gone Bad in 6 months
Would Not RecommendBought this for a light that is only used a few times a week, but this switch broke in just 6 months of use. Save yourself the trouble. Lowes customer service was great and willing to replace, but had nothing better. Found a heavy duty switch at ACE (for twice the cost).
