The qualities I was looking for were self sharpening, blade through to handle, and price. The one thing I didn’t get was the color I wanted. Mine is black matte. I would have liked to have it in a light wood. The purchase was a no-brainer.

I bought this set as I had previously purchased a couple pairing knives to replace others. Henckles knives are SHARP! I've struggled with cutting tomatoes in the past but these knives make it seem like you're cutting through softened butter. Well worth every penny spent!
