You should know this
Would Not RecommendYou should know that this trap has a detachable arm that is used as part of the activation mechanism for the trap. Be aware that this is easily lost when using the trap and there is no replacement which makes this trap totally worthless when missing. I would give zero stars if possible.

Would RecommendWorks very similar to my prvious trap. I found some reviews critical of the trap, how it worked or didn't work. Perhaps because I had a previous trap and knew how to set it I found it worked fine. I trap for chipmunks, but I got chipmunks, squirrels and sometimes a bird. One trick I use is to take a rubber band and place around the plate so It holds the peanuts pretty tigh. The animal has to work a bit and bingo he's trapped.

A bit hard to use. The solid top makes it hard to put the bird seed in which is what I use to get the animals in. They also move it out of the way to get what has fallen through the bottom to get to it. I will take the time to figure out what else to do to keep it down so they can't move it or will put it up and find one without the solid top.
