small, uniform chunks

This bark mulch has a pebbley texture. Unlike other bark mulch I've used, the chunks are very uniform in size, and smaller. I'm not sure if this is good or bad in the long term.

Mulch for Potting Soil

I mix this product with perlite and peat moss to stretch the potting soil mix I use for my container gardening. I like that it has a very uniform size consistency. Plus it's pretty inexpensive. I also use it as a mulch on my garden beds. It has a more natural look than larger sized bark mulch. We'll see how it holds up over time. Very happy so far.

Excellent quality

This mulch is very easy to use and lasts all season. The color enhances the plants it is placed under. The color maintains well throughout the season.

Mulch not satisfactory

The mulch was not what I expected. It was large chunks mixed with shredded strands. The color has is very bland and has already bleached out.

It's good mulch

Not sure what else to say, it does the job well and holds up better than shredded hardwood mulch, which is why I switched to pine bark. Hardwood mulch I had used would bleach in the sun and decay within a year, requiring an annual or twice-yearly turning or refreshing, but after 2-3 years, the pine bark mulch is still holding up pretty well...and only now am I needing to put more down.

Great Mulch

I thought it was a great mulch and it has covered our flower beds well. It is a nice change to the huge shaving you normally get. When I first opened the bag, the product was really mulched up almost as small as sawdust but it actually works much better then traditional mulch. It provides a lot of coverage and goes a long way.

looks Good

This looks good in my raised planter boxes, stay in it borders. I also used to top dress around phone boxes. We will see how it holds up all season

Great Product

I use this in my front beds and around my trees, looks great and last a long time. I would highly recommend this for a professional look.

Great value

Ii placed my order online and went to pick it up 30 minutes later. The order was ready and they helped me load it in the vehicle. There was some of the mulch that could have been shredded a little smaller. But overall this was a great product for the price and I will be getting this again in the spring.

OK value for the money

The first 20 bags of this mulch were great! The second 20 bags were totally unlike the first 20 bags but for the money were still OK.

2 cu ft pine bark mulch

This was perfect for the yard. I built up a low spot in back yard, this worked out just right, made a walkway along the house and it leveled off in a week or so.

Too Many Large Pieces

The bag says the pieces are 1" or less - not true. Most pieces are very large - some even as large as 6"!! For the same price, I will now use the Scotsman Pine Bark Mulch instead.

Great Value

I was very pleased with this purchase. Unlike some other mulches I've used this one did NOT have large chunks or slivers of wood, just right for spreading in flower beds. And it was a terrific price for the product. I'll be buying more.

Pine Bark Mulch vs other mulches

I decided to give the Lowe's Ap a try and ended up really likeing it. My only beef would be this, I wish that once they get an order that they would pull it and have it staged for pick up. The Mulch. I chose the Pine Bark Mulch over the others: Hardwood Mulch, etc. for one main reason. Pine Bark Mulch will last longer than regular Hardwood Mulch which breaks down in a year. Good mulch, Great value

I used this mulch for my home landscaping, and have been very pleased with the look. It has been consistently the same size and color (dark brown) after using more than 50 bags. It spreads easily by hand or with a garden rake, and locks itself together if you spend a minute packing it lightly. I put it down about 2" thick on top of black weed prevent fabric. Some good points, some bad

Reasonable quality shredded pine bark mulch, at a really excellent price when the cost of delivery is included. Lowe's delivered it promptly, and left it exactly where I had requested, which was important because I had ordered 75 bags of it. 2 problems with the mulch: 1. A day after spreading some 30 bags of it by combination of hand, shovel and rake, often on hands and knees, I came up with a moderate case of what appears to be poison ivy on all parts of my body that were not covered.
