What Customers Are Saying
The Grip-Rite deck screws offer a durable and corrosion-resistant design with a star-drive head that provides excellent grip and prevents stripping, making them easy to drive into wood without slipping. They have good holding power and can securely fasten wood together, though some users found they had trouble gripping pressure-treated or wet lumber. While a few customers reported receiving defective screws, the majority found the screws easy to use, especially when paired with an impact driver. Overall, the screws appear to be a reliable choice for most outdoor construction and repair projects, as long as the user takes care to pre-drill holes when working with challenging lumber conditions.

Would RecommendGreat screws, if these won't hold it, not much will. Used for some repairs to a tree house and helped repair a deck and add a ramp to a friend's home.

beats competitor's screws hands down
Would RecommendThese are the only screws I buy for exterior use. Made the mistake of buying some coated deck screws from Ace Hardware Brand screws and they continue to rust on a fence I built. I will only purchase these screws from Lowes from now on. Never had a rust issue with them. Love the torx bit head

Green deck screws
Have used these for deck building, and for building forms. The torx head is so much better than a Phillips head screw. Will continue using them for any assembling needs.

Better design
Would RecommendI’m a big fan of Thai start head over the Phillips head. These also have the “cutter” on the tip so they punch without needing predrilled. I used these outdoors on some board and batten a while ago and they don’t seem to be rusting or staining the wood. I bought some more for use in the garage and the quality seems to be just as good.

decking screws
Would Not Recommendi would not put these in a pressure treated deck if they gave them to me.i have spent two weeks ripping up boards etc. that are 2 1/2 years old because these GREEN decking screws rusted in two and boards started popping up.use the tan decking screws, galvanized to stainless.
a problem
Would RecommendThese screws work well in all conditions except one, salt water. If thats involved they will rust, it takes a long time but they will rust. Other than that theyve never been a problem. I should mention I,m a professional contractor .
