What Customers Are Saying

The Grip-Rite deck screws offer a durable and corrosion-resistant design with a star-drive head that provides excellent grip and prevents stripping, making them easy to drive into wood without slipping. They have good holding power and can securely fasten wood together, though some users found they had trouble gripping pressure-treated or wet lumber. While a few customers reported receiving defective screws, the majority found the screws easy to use, especially when paired with an impact driver. Overall, the screws appear to be a reliable choice for most outdoor construction and repair projects, as long as the user takes care to pre-drill holes when working with challenging lumber conditions.

When its all put together the way you want it, then load it up with nails for the extra strength. Not a day goes b...

Bathroom Renovation

Would Recommend

I used these screws when I remodeled my master bedroom bath. I ripped out the ceiling, floor, and all of the drywall, including one stud wall. I had to rebuild my floor joists, and a stud wall and sister every wall and the ceiling in the bathroom...all with these screws. Not a problem. One recommendation. Buy an impact driver....they work so much better than a drill for driving these 3 inch screws. Both are highly recommended. The good: Start Drive. Won't slip. Resistant to water. Didn't break...

I am remodeling a 113 year old barn into a house. Project has been on-going for the past 5 years. One more year to go. There are no nails in the barn, only the original ones. All remodeling has been done using these screws. The bits and replacement bits need to be hardened, as they wear out quickly.

I've used the 3" deck screw for all my decking needs, and used the 3.5" screws for a lot of my framing.
