By putting this in that area, the AC doesn't stop until it reaches the temp set on the sensor instead of the thermostat

Would RecommendI have a two story house and the main thermostat is downstairs where the fireplace is. If I ran the fireplace all evening that room would be piping hot and the upstairs bedroom would be Ice cold. With this sensor I can place it upstairs and the heating system runs off the sensor upstairs and bypasses the one downstairs.
