NIGHTMARE INSTALL!!

Words cannot express how poorly this was designed. I literally spent over one hour trying to get the wires back in the encasement when I gave up and put the light back in the box to return. I've installed lights all throughout my house recently, so I'm no novice. This is wildly impossible....save yourself the frustration and look for another brand. Take this seriously....

easy install

I read the reviews on this and was hesitant after seeing all the installation issues. I also so many of the reviews stating it's not that difficult. I sided on the not that difficult side and ordered these, knowing in the back of my mind I could be kicking myself. The most difficult part of the installation for me was removing the light bar to get to the actual wires. I was prying up from the back side when I should've been pushing down on the front side with the tabs. Once I had it opened...

Will not dim

I bought these units because in the description it said they are dimmable with a standard Truax dimmer. Nope , they flicker instead. So I went to manufacture Web site for clarity. It's said they are dimmable from 15 to 100 percent. Nope not mine. Soi left my email address and number. But no contact yet. I am doing this install for myself but if for a customer it would not be satisfactory. I do not recommend for this reason. It's a lie so far and no support from the company.A

Nightmare installation

Wish we had read the reviews. Paid good money for a piece of crap. Do love the light it gives. Says 6 year warranty....we’ll see.

Installation nightmare!!!!!

By far the most difficult and aggravating task of my DIY kitchen remodel. Impossible to replace the cover after installation. Waste of time/money!

Just fine to install

Trying to match light color of a nearby 3’ bar, this “color changing” lamp works for us. I’m not sure why all the fuss about installation (from other reviewers), I installed this lamp in 30 minutes. It helped that I did a pre-installation layout of the internal wires and connections since there is little spare space. Be especially careful of location of the connectors and the lengths of feed wires; some internal loops needed to be adjusted. I did need to lay down on the counter top to more easil...

Set the mood!

Love it! It has 3 different light settings and works great to light up that dark area under the cabinets. Also is great to use as a night light especially when you wake up in the middle of the night whether to raid the fridge or for any other reason! I had a friend install it but he didn't seem to have any problems. The LED lights are supposed to last for a long time too.

Worth the Time

Just DIY installed a 24" one of these in about two hours and we love it. Well made and has a six-year warranty. BRIGHT, brighter than the 24" T5 fluorescent fixture it replaced, but the diffuser keeps it from being harsh, it's like a soft white bulb. Colors are great, the warm is maybe even warmer than an incandescent of similar brightness, with no hint of green as is common with LEDs. The cool white and daylight colors are reasonably close to fluorescents of those colors. Evenly lights 24D ...

Worst light ever designed.

Took about 4 hours trying to install this light before screaming my lungs out in distress. This is the most poorly designed light ever. You need to pry the light open to get to the wiring. That was the easy part. After making all connections, trying to close the light is next to impossible. Wait. I take it back. It is impossible. I went back to it (It being, just trying to close the assembly) before giving up. This is going back to the store. Would rather have no light than this light!

INSTALLATION NIGHTMARE TIMES TEN !!!!

I installed FIVE of these lights yesterday - it was an INSTALLATION NIGHTMARE TIMES 10 !!!! I consider myself fairly handy & have installed MANY lighting fixtures & even at one time owned a business installing video surveillance systems. (So my expertise in installing "stuff" is up there...) I'll get to problem right away - once the light is hanging & opened There are so many wires that want to either fall out, get between the switch & the case, or between the flat parts of the case that it's...

Functionality great, poor inside design.

The light works well once installed and the three lighting hues are a great bonus. Unfortunately installation is fiddly and frustrating. There is not enough space inside the fixture to connect wiring and the metal panel that holds the LEDs is flimsy and easily bent. Anything but a perfect fit will make the plastic lens cover pop out.

Love the lights! They look great and love that you can change the color setting!

beautiful light

I had it installed so didn't struggle with the design, but the fixture really gives off a beautiful light and the color choices are cool for different uses (task or ambiance). I'm getting another one.

Love the underneath lighting

This has three settings for the type of light you want. And is so recessed that even though I am short (5’) I don’t see a glare when sitting down. Really improves my kitchen workspace without turning on the huge pillow lights in the ceiling

Great light

Great light. 3 different light temperatures. Had to pop it open to wire it up. I ended up putting a plug on it. The light temperature switch seams a little flimsy but it should be ok as I wont be changing brightness that often. Overall, nice light.
