Ratings & Reviews for Good Earth Lighting Premium Slim LED Color Changing 24-in Hardwired LED Under Cabinet Light Bar
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Customers praise the bright, high-quality light output and appreciate the three adjustable color temperature options (2700K to 4000K) that eliminate green tint and allow customization from warm to daylight white. The slim, low-profile design hides neatly under cabinets while providing focused illumination, and the dimmable wall switch adds significant flexibility. However, installation is widely described as frustrating and time-consuming, with the small wiring compartment struggling to fit multiple cables, plastic mounting clips breaking easily, and the cover nearly impossible to reattach. Despite these challenges, most customers find the lighting quality and features justify the effort and cost.

Would RecommendI purchased one of these 24” lights as the first to be installed in our kitchen. I liked the idea of temparture adjustability, since were not fond of flourescant white lights. The dimensions are where we needed them to be since under our cabinet is very shallow. Mounting it under a cabinet is pretty straightforward, predrill two screws based on the openings. Mount the light and tighten the two screws so the light doesnt shift. I noticed other reviews had problems opening the case, but i did ...
love the light
Would RecommendI replaced fluorescent fixtures with these, and I love the bright white light that these produce. If you are installing one of these lights, it is a breeze. I put in three 30" and one 24", and the only one which was easy was the 24" because it was the last in the series. These come with a quick-connect to hardwire, but if installing in a series, there is just not enough room to get all the wiring back into the case. There is plenty of room to give these a deeper profile and still keep them p...
What a miserable experience
Would Not RecommendMy electrician bought two Utilitech under cabinet lights from Lowes and installed them a year ago. My wife has complained they are different colors ever since. I tried replacing the cold one with a new Utilitech 24” but its also too cold a light. Solution…. For $10 more I can have this, switchable, under cabinet light. I’m a retired electrical engineer (of sorts) and a regular DIYer. So changing this light should have been a breeze. Not so. As others have remarked it’s a terrible design for ins...
Installation nightmare
Would Not RecommendI have done many diy projects, but this ranks with the most difficult; the problem being with the design of this terrible light fixture. You need to open the casing to wire the unit and this is IMPOSSIBLE. I even made a special trip to Lowe’s in hopes that one of their electrical guys would know how this opened. No luck. One of the guys said he bought this same light and had to pry it open with a screw driver. I ended up prying it open, but then it doesn’t go back properly and had to drive a sc...
Solid Product That Needs better Instructions
I purchased several 24" & 18" units of this product with some trepidation, given all the online comments of how difficult it is to install, and I see their point regarding the basic design of the locking tabs on the electrical box. Like most things, however, the problems are best solved with ether the right tool, technique, or a combination of both. The answer here is to use a 9-1/2" Channel Lock pliers. I'm 71 years old with arthritic fingers. The jaws of the Channel Lock were more than wide en...
Nice light - installation nightmare
Would RecommendI love the light, now that it is in. But the mechanical design of the fixture is horrible. It took less than 1/2 hour to wire up five fixtures, but the overall job took closer to three hours! The extra time was spent trying to get the fixture to lock back into the base once the base was screwed into the underside of the cabinet. The 30 inch fixtures were the worst. The 24" were almost as bad. The 18" fixtures were much easier to install. But the designer should be fired.

Nice light once installed.
Would RecommendI would have given this product a better rating if the installation was easier. The wire compartment is very small, which makes getting the cover back on extremely difficult with all of the necessary wires inside. Once installed the small size offers a low profile, which makes it attractive. Also, the ability to change light color in three modes from warm to cool is a nice feature.
Love the light-instructions not great.
Would RecommendLove this light. The installation was a little frustrating, mostly because the instructions are not great. A better illustration of the tabs would have been helpful but I'm fairly handy and figured it out. Really like that you have 3 options on setting the light temp. The light is very bright and much better than the fluorescents I replaced them with.
Terrible to install Do Not Purchase
Would Not RecommendCompartment opens with great difficulty and is impossible to reclose due to bad design. Interior will not accommodate wiring and closure edges too scant to allow closing after wiring is complete. We are returning this item.
Wire Compartment Cover Impossible to Open!
Would Not RecommendDirections and diagram for opening the wire compartment box are totally useless. Whoever designed this obviously never tried to follow their own instructions. We are returning this product immediately because we felt sure if we continued we would end up damaging the LED lighting. Primarily selected this particular brand because it offered 3 settings for light brightness where other brands did not but it is not worth the frustration-wish I'd read other installation reviews sooner who agree with d...
Be prepared to want to break this light
Would Not RecommendThe light itself is great. Installation is a nightmare. Whoever designed this should be fired. In order to open or close the box for installation, three are 3 metal tabs which hold the led part to the rest of the fixture. According to the directions, You have to push in and try to separate the led panel from the tabs on the fixture. I am 6' 195 and work out with weights 5 days a week. In other words I'm pretty darn strong. After putting up the light, trying to close the led panel was impo...
Good Light
Would RecommendI wanted LED with a small profile. This Good Earth light is perfect for my over the sink kitchen application. The person who I stalled the light had it up in short order. He had never seen a lamp wit settings for light quality and really likes that feature. We keep the lamp o. the cool light setting. A few more lumens would make this light perfect, but one can always link a second lamp for increased illumination. For our application the lamp does a good job and is more than adequate.
