I normally get pellets from our local supplier but I needed a few bags to finish off the season. The only available brand Lowes had in-store at the time was this brand. So, not knowing the brand, I bought only 2 bags to try them out. And was I glad I only got 2!! Not only was the Lowe's price ridiculously expensive, $3 more per bag but the burn quality was atrocious. The pellets put out a strong smoky smell when burning and they left black soot throughout my pellet stove burn pot and glass cove...

Caution with Harman Stove

These pellets completely jammed my pellet stove.

Perfect delivery

These pellets are the best that I have ever used. I have been using pellets for about 20 years and these heat the best and cut the stove cleaning from daily to every 3 days. I hope Lowe's keeps these in stock, If they do, I am in for 6 tons/year. The delivery was outstanding! The driver was an expert at placing the pellets near my garage and would look forward to having him and his company deliver again!

Its a bit pricy compared to others

These are by far the best pellets I’ve ever used. I have no further need to try another brand, these are just the best. They burn really well and put out great heat. The ash content is like powder, the glass on the door stays cleaner much longer. I highly recommend these pellets. You get more for your money and the cost at Lowe’s is over a dollar less than other places I purchased them from. I guarantee you will like these pellets. John Boy

Not the greatest

Yes they burn, but are tough to light up in the auto sequence. Ended up mixing another brand with them. Inconsistent pellet length caused the stove to shut down when the feed tray was bridged by longer pellets (over 1 1/2 inches). I bought 10 bags to get me through the latest cold spell and 4 of them had a lot of fines and dust. One bag had moisture - even though they were inside the store.

Please stock these next heating season Lowe’s.

Lowe’s stocked a limited supply of these in February 2026 and i decided to try them out. These are the best burning pellets they’ve carried so far. The cost was about $9.50 a bag but it makes up for how efficiently they burn. They burn hotter and cleaner than green supreme by far.

Great clean burning pellets

Very clean burning, as good as other highly rated Douglas fir pellets at a slightly lower price.
