Does Not work with Oversized Mail Box

We had a cross arm 4x4 pre cut cedar mail box post, purchased at Lowes as well as G Oversized Mailbox marked (L) with the magnetic door and this mount. the problem is this mail box mount is much too small to work properly with a (L) size box. They do include little round extenders, but this was just a fiasco that was not going to work. Mailbox mounting bracket

This was the only mounting bracket available, so that is what I HAD to buy. Little did I know that it was not meant for an "oversized" mailbox, which we had purchased at Lowe's, until we were actually trying to attach the mailbox to the bracket. It is working well. I might make one suggestion: I have mine on a 4" x 4" treated post. The top of the post is flush with the top surface of the mounting board. I secured the mounting board with two screws in each side. It would have been nice if the screw holes were offset from the holes on the adjoining side. Fit Perfectly

Fit my mailbox perfectly. I did have to force it onto the treated 4x4, but I would prefer this rather than being too loose.

Easy to use but hardware quality issues

Very sturdy and flexible mailbox mounting kit. I used it to install a slightly oversized mailbox to a post with a crossarm (all purchased at Lowes). Very good instructions, and fit my application perfectly. However, the hardware bag had serious quality issues. There were only three of the four required #10-24 x 1 3/4" screws. I had to go back to the store to get replacements. Also, two of the four required #8 x 1 3/4" galvanized wood screws already had the heads stripped (definitely weren't new...

Best mailbox mount I've seen.

This mounting bracket is sturdy, heavy duty steel with a thick coating of paint and comes with all the hardware needed. It has multiple pre-drilled hole patterns to make mounting a standard or oversized mailbox to a variety of posts. This bracket does not flex like the old one I replaced so the mailbox does not wobble at all on the post. It is not universal! Did not work with my mailbox

I was able to purchase just the hardware for way less after purchasing the universal item only to find out it wouldn't work with the mailbox I orchard at Lowe's.

Just what I neeeded!

My mailbox bracket, plastic, broke from the post during the recent snow storm. I just wanted a replacement bracket and not replace the mailbox, post etc. This universal bracket was easy to install. Its steel so I'm sure it going to be there a lot longer than the plastic one.

Plenty of different sized screws and adapters give you many installation options.

Our original base was plastic and broke during a small wind causing the mail box to be blown on the ground. So a very good investment due to it being metal and easy to install.

Serves its purpose well

I purchased this to mount a lockable metal mailbox. The mounting bracket is well made for mounting a mailbox to a 4x4 post. However, it could use some improvements for mounting to an arm. First, the mounting hardware. Since the turned-down parts for attaching to a 4x4 post interfere with placing it directly on the arm of a post with arm, it includes plastic spacers.
