Would RecommendIt's fairly heavy steel, so it should last, but as it came it didn't fit my mailbox, had to round up 4 really long bolts to attach the box to the board. The info says this is for A, B, C, or D mounting type mailboxes, The box I ordered was supposed to be a D mounting box, so it should have fit, right? Nope. None of the supplied bolts would reach from the box to the base, needed 4 inch (?) bolts and longest that came with the plate were in the 2 inch range. Box was Gibraltar Mailboxes Post Mount ...

Very good but not perfect for all mailboxes
Would RecommendSolid, well-made, several options per pre-drilled holes. However, it did not really fit my mailbox (not Gibraltor), and it only left one option to seat the mailbox. I was hoping the lateral/side holeswould match, but they did not.
