The mount fits universally and is great quality. I had to mount a new mailbox to an iron post.

Easy mailbox mount.

Very solid mount. More than enough to permanently mount a mailbox on a veryical 4x4 post. My only issue was that my post was about a 1/4 smaller than the fixed opening in the mounting plate. I solved this with washers as spacers between the post and plate. I also thought the metal bent over in the middle for a flange was a little short. You have to angle the screws up a bit on the 4 side holes to get a screwdrive in there. I added 4 extra screws for additional strength so I actually used all 8 h...

Good but there seems to small issues

The side where you attach the box to the board has 2 round holes and 2 oblong holes. My box did not align with the holes. I had to drill out a new hole about 1/2" from the oblong hole.

Simple but not for every post type

Pretty simple to install but the post we purchased does not comply with this item. So we got it on as best as we could. The mailbox shakes a lot so hopefully it won't come off.

Mailbox adapter works in several ways

This mailbox adapter worked very well for my application. It has many possible ways to use this because it has many screw holes.

Very sturdy but needs to have a few more holes where you mount the box.
