My Praises to Genie

Installed in about 20 minutes. Works fabulously on my 18 year old screw drive whose remote had gone bad. Now all four(4) of my openers are completely operational and coded to open others as desired.

Easy upgrade. Would use again.

Works exactly as described and I was able to upgrade my motor unit to support both my HomeLink enabled vehicles. One caveat, the length of wire available in the kit was not enough to do two runs to support power and signal.

Genie Pro 98 Garage Opener and Universal receiver

For anyone who is wondering if this universal receiver works and how easy the install was, my experience was excellent. I called Genie support before I purchased to make sure that this solution would work with my very dated Genie garage door opener... My prior receiver didn't have the "learning" function and this device does. Everything worked, install was very easy! Sincerely, Kevin

Refund????

It worked for about 5 days and then quit, wondering if I can return it for a refund as I bought a whole new unit after the failure.

Replaced old model Genie 200 receiver

This was ordered to replace the receiver box and get a new remote of an old Genie model 200 garage door opener. The old opener already uses 24V to the receiver, so all you need to do is wire this one in like the old one was. You do not need to use the transformer plug that comes with the kit. Works fine so far. This should be promoted as a receiver replacement for older model Genie's and shown how to do it.

retrofit workarounds.

my old genie door opener outside keyless pad failed and genie could only offer their universal keyless..which i bought but could not install on my old opener because of compatibility with my opener dipswitch technology .... so i had to buy their conversion kit to their intellicode...i installed both and learn coded my old transmitters (3) on first click but could not get their universal keyless programmed until i went online and found the factory default 3-5-7 sequence.....all good now.

Worthless for Sommer or other GDO that runs 24V DC

Bought this on representation from tech support that it will work connected to a GDO's wall switch circuit. But stupid design has power circuit and switched circuit sharing a single common terminal, so it won't work on any GDO that uses DC or other than 24V AC in its wall button circuit.

Great product if you have an older opener without a remote.
