The jig is so poorly made that the holes are too narrow to fix the appropriate bit.

This jig cannot hold the correct measurment to cut on the witness marks and is difficult to get the correct depth of the bit due to the thickness of the jig. There are much better produts on the market for just a few bucks more however Lowes does not offer them.

Misses the mark

Nice concept, poorly executed. Wobbles when drilling and makes the dowels crooked, which screws up the board alignment. Dont waste your money. Find one thats more solid.

Decent, but doesn’t hold up

The jig is easy to set up. But it does not do good after multiple holes . The turret becomes wobbly and it is difficult to drill straight holes, Does a decent job, but still looking for a good doweling jig.

Sloppy workmanship

So fortunately I attempted to drill some holes in a scrap piece of lumber. Only if I worked real hard to keep the bit straight up and down (I have a level on my drill), I might be able to get a good hole. The stop bushing does not stay on the drill bit very well.

Total waste of money

This jig is not only large and cumbersome but the bushings are smaller than their marked dimensions resulting in damage to the drill bits.

Best most complete dowling system...

hands down the very best doweling system I have had in over decades of woodworking. Not just easy setup, use and accuracy, but also most complete, drill bits, inserts for replacing a piece where dowel locations exist in one piece. You even get dowels and a little glue in a twist lock bottle...ONLY item I wish it had would be a drill depth stop to attach to bit but a good woodworker can live without that!!

Works well

Not bad for a inexpensive doweling jig. I think it is made well, could have been all metal. Need to practice on scrap wood first. I have used it several times, and I am pleased.

Don't waste your money and time

The worst piece of junk that I have ever purchased from Lowes and I have been a devoted customer for many years. The graduated markings are hard to read and are not accurate when attempting to center bore in the edge of board. The turret is not stable and wobbles/shakes; I have done better drilling by hand. The plastic housing is not stable either. This is not the tool for a good craftsman. Better to spend more money on a better product. Lowe's should know better.

Save your money. If you are interested in quality workmanship, stay clear of this jig.

Guide isn't drill to correct size

Bought this and took it right back. The drill guide isn't correctly drilled for the bit. The rotary guide then wobble about while trying to drill causing incorrect alignment. Find a better jig...not this one.
