What Customers Are Saying
The doweling jig appears to be of poor quality, with many users reporting issues such as instability, inaccurate measurements, and the inability to produce straight, centered holes. The majority of reviews express significant dissatisfaction, and most users advise against purchasing this product, suggesting it is better to do the job manually or with a drill press instead. While a few positive reviews mention the jig working well, these are greatly outnumbered by the negative feedback, leading to an overall assessment that this is a low-quality tool that does not perform as expected.

Would Not RecommendDefinitely getting what you pay for, here. As other reviews state, the jig bounces around if you're not *really* careful to keep the drill completely straight. The screw to keep it in place tends to loosen, not by much, but enough to move a sixteenth of an inch or two. The turning part lifts up very easily and then spins, which is disastrous. I found that to use it successfully I had to hold it with my fingers to keep it in place. The jig part is cheap plastic, and drilling removes some of it. ...

Total joke...
Would Not RecommendFirst let me say, while I often take time to read reviews this is the first time I have ever left one. This jig is absolutely garbage. The rotating jig head does not lock into place, and skips constantly. The drill bit guide is pot metal. So, if you are able to keep it steady you'll end up with just as many metal shavings as wood. The allen wrench supplied for the bit stop collars is the wrong size (supplied metric wrench when the set screw is standard). So, the first time you tighten it down th...
Where has this thing been all my life?
Would RecommendFor the amateur woodworker, this is a must-have tool for your kit. I don't build things professionally, but I like to make furniture for our home (tables, chairs, etc.) Previously, I had been measuring and centering my dowel holes by hand. As you can imagine this requires precise measurements and tedious checking and rechecking to get right. With the Jig Kit, all that goes away and you get nicely centered holes. My only complaint is that even when all parts of the tool are carefully tightened t...

Not worth the money
Would Not Recommendbought this last week and will be returning it asap. The product is not worth the time or the money. The quality is extremely poor. The turret wobbles more than the drill bits do, the alignment is off and the handle for the clamp broke off on the second use. Don't waste your money on this product.
Good Concept - Poor Implementation
Would Not RecommendI will be returning this today. I purchased it yesterday for a project and was excited to add a new jig to my collection. I measured everything up, clamped it on, and started drilling. The wood was a little green and the bit had a hard time cutting, the jig allows everything to wobble and there's no amount of tightening that will get the rotating part to sit still - a waste of money and time. I could almost fit the 3/8" dowels into the holes drilled with the 1/4" bit. I ended up finishing the pr...
Only slightly more useful than eyeballing it
Would Not RecommendWhile the general design of this tool seems sound, the quality of it's construction is terrible. When you first get a drill going in it, you can see the jig wobble considerably, as much as 1/8". For any kind of quality workmanship, this tool will fail you.
Good Value
Would RecommendI bought this jig a year ago and with other projects didn't get to use it right away. I used it today in building a cabinet and the results were excellent. I made sure i didn't over tighten it as that will pull it off kilter. all holes were lined up perfectly and centered true. I did spend extra time on my measurements but it was worth it.
Good product
Would RecommendItem comes with all you need to start your wood project. There is a bit of a learning curve however, but once you get the hang of it, it works like a charm.
Doweling Jig
Would Not RecommendSloppy, worthless a total waste of money.Poorly made and should not even be offered for sale.
Not what your looking for !
Would Not RecommendI will agree with everything that the other reviewer said. I will also add that when you tighten the simple clamp to hold this jig on the piece of wood it will actually pull the angle of the jig off of 90 Degrees and make slightly crocked holes. On mine the wobble is so bad that the holes drilled for a 3/8 dowel are so reamed out that the dowel pins are actually too loose to do any good. There is at least an extra 1/8" of overcut. This thing would be OK for very imprecise hole hogging but if you...
Can't return it soon enough!
Would Not RecommendHello, I just bought this product a few days ago. I was so excited to try it out, thinking it would be a cheaper way for me to turn out a quality DYI table. I quickly realized that the turret is very sloppy and the drill bit wobbles very much. The measuring guide on the slide is not accurate and is very hard to see. The slide that the turret is mounted on is not intended to touch the material you are working on. This makes it very difficult to keep the turret level to your work surface. The stop...
