Works exactly as described. Like the lights that give you indication of moisture.

Justvbe poking it in ttough material.

I like this product, it will do the job accurately if you know how to read it. l lost mine and i had to get another one.

Works well

Painting contractor and i own a few different moisture meters. I like this one because it had a nice led display and will alert you if the percentage is high. Came with an extra set of contacts in case you damage the originals. Only issue is there's no storage for the extra contacts on the unit so most people will probably lose them anyway. The meter was very effective in identifying moisture in engineering wood on concrete slab.

This is garbage. The packaging is worth MORE

Probed several pieces of wood and seldom got a reading. The best part of it was when I smashed it to a thousand pieces with a hammer.

Saved me from staining a fence not ready for stain

This meter is awesome. Uncap, turn power on, stick into wood fence and the reading displays in a lit up LED screen on the front. It's great! Saved me a huge investment of time and money by letting me see that parts of my cedar fence are not low enough in moisture for a successful oil stain application. Grateful for a meter that's affordable and helpful. Great item, highly recommend!

Hard to use

I purchased this tool to determine the moisture level in my T+G prior to install. The tool was hard to use, when it worked, which was hardly at all. There were no instructions in the box. Maybe I got a defective tool, but I plan on returning it soon.

Works...sometimes.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Frustrating at best. Unfortunately, Lowes didn't have any other options. Low quality -- stay away.

Good and Consistent Moisture Meter

I had this tool for about a month now. I purchased it because I suspected that a recent home purchase had some unresolved moisture issues that were affecting the laminate wood floors and drywall. Its done a good job of alerting if moisture is low, med or high as well as displaying the moisture reading. This is the third one I bought and it cost more

It is hard to find dry wood for my woodstove.so I buy these units. The fist two died before I put new batteries in them. No clue what the problem is. I wish I could find a different unit at the price of the first two. I was happy with these until they died. Am hoping this one last longer. If you know of a better unit at about the price of the last one let me know.

Purchased this Moisture Meter after my flat flooded. What a nightmare! This is a great meter at an affordable price! The meter works right out of the package and is easy to read and interpret. The readings were close to the professional version the abatement folks had, within 1-2% just as the the directions indicate. I've been monitoring the moisture levels daily and am happy to see things drying out. I can see this will be a useful thing to keep in my tool box!

If you want an accurate pin-less moisture tester make sure it is d4442 certified. The start at about $200 and up.

Not consistent

One time readings say ok for flooring to go in and later readings go way up.Had fans going all the time on subfloor.???????

Great Moisture Meter

I had to get one to see what the moisture was of some wood I had milled up a year before to make sure it was okay to work with. Its super easy to use and has told me my lumber is still not dry enough.
