We bought ours right before we were hit with a hurricane that flooded most of our property. The water was knee high in the barn when I finally retrieved it. I "floated" for an acre before I was able to roll it rest of the way to the house. If I had a paddle or sail I could of booted my way up to the house. Bought a Generac xt800e

I bought a generac Xt8000E becuase I have to have bipap when the power is out. I pull it out of storage and run it every 4/5 months. I pulled it out and went to start it and the carburetor caught on fire related to the gas tank being full of rust! I called Generac and was told well it is a metal gas tank and you can’t keep gas in it????? Absolutely no help at all and I’m out $1100 dollars. Great Generator

When you live in Florida and every Floridian knows that every year we face possible hurricanes. Better to have and not need then to not have and need. Just the hurricane Season before my perches, the very last hurricane left is with out power for 10 days! NEVER again will I endure that! Get you one of these bad boy's, it's got an electric start, what you waiting for.

Powerfull

Lost power the day it was delivered. Ran flawlessly for 11 hours straight till power was restored. I live in a 2500 square foot ranch and I had use of my whole panel and this generator ran my whole house including the central air conditioner. When the ac would start the power bar on the generator would go to 3 bars, but once the ac was running the power bar dropped down to 1 bar. Impressive!

HUMMM ? WHERE IS THE NOISE LEVEL MEASUREMENT ? THAT IS IMPORTANT TO ME .

Finally Broke Down and Bought One

We live in the northeast and lose power frequently between hurricanes, tropical storms, snowstorms and national grid’s refusal to clear dead trees. I have yet to use the generator. Since I got it we have had no issues. I guess the storm recognizes that Generac is on the job.

Great product, no issues

We were told before we purchased this generator that once purchased we would no longer have any power outages. Prior to purchasing, power outages were common, typically once a month. Since we've had it, not a single outage. Have to give the product 5 stars just for that. Powerful, relatively compact with excellent features

Purchased this gen for my off grid cabin to run my inverter/charger. It was easy to setup and took about an 1hr. This gen is pretty loud, and noisier than similar sized generators in my opinion. It weighs about 300 lbs and I only say this because I had to load it in my truck twice for the same warranty issue. The problem was for an intermittent battery charging system. Strong and loud

I've had this generator for about a year and have 25 hours on it. I had an electrician wire in a 50A, 240V breaker / interlock and I back feed my main panel to run my house. Here are my impressions so far. Pros: 1. 10kw is enough to run my whole house, including central air and an electric dryer (not at the same time). 2. This unit far exceeds most available units.

Disclaimer: I'm an electrician. I purchased a used (70 hour) unit for a good price. The XG1000E has run perfectly since I acquired it. It backs up a 100 Amp electrical service with no issues. It runs the central air conditioner or the hot tub with no problems, and the usual refrigerators, microwave, TV's and computers. The only thing I did was change to synthetic oil when I purchased it. Received XP10000E today. Had couple issues.

Unboxed XP10000E today. Found box of hardware opened and looked beat up but everything intact. Generator itself ok. Assembled everything without any issues. Added oil and ethanol free fuel. Cranked short time and fired up. No problems. Will follow up review after it gets used a few times. Issues I want to address is fuel line at tank had Green clamp on it but was low and not clamping line to tank nipple. I fixed this. Owned since summer 2014

I’m using this for most of the house through a 50amp manual transfer switch in the garage. The XG10000E is semipermanent mounted in my shed with custom exhaust through the wall to a automotive muffler and motorcycle baffles in tailpipe. It does a great job during power outages. Very pleased with my generator, especially the ease in which it starts

Very pleased with my generator and the ease in which it starts electrically. Although I have yet to put it into service - home backup power - I sure it will be fine.

21 year old Generac 10000, single digit temperature, starts on the 2nd pull

Bought this 21 years ago, I have not started it in 9 months, it has been extraordinarily COLD and I started thinking about: what if our power goes out. turned on the gas and as usual, it started on the second pull. Amazing. If this ever quits working, I will but another one!

Heavy.

This generator will supply all the power I require to get through a power failure. My only negative is that the generator is top heavy when you attempt to move it into position. If you are aware of this there is no problem. The electric start feature is a must have for seniors.

This product exceeded my expectations

After assembly, the only problem I experienced was adding the oil. The unit started right up after battery was hooked up , and I ran a few tests on the output and voltage stability. Check out the power with some of my shop tools and saws. I believe this unit is going to work out just fine for me. One feature I did extremely like, was the illuminated receptacle panel.

Great generator.

We had a tornado 2 miles away and lost power, went to Lowes and bought this generator. Plenty of power to run the refrigerator, air conditioner and pool at almost idle. I would definitely recommend this one.

Leaks Oil, But Great Generator!

Great generator for the price, easy to move and start up. Unfortunately, It started slowly dripping oil from the bottom of the motor after starting it up several times. Taking the generator in for service and hopefully it will get fixed.

Great features

Do not have mine running yet. Electrician is coming Friday. When trying to start the generator today it would not start. Sounded like it wanted to catch but wouldn't. I remembered reading the reviews and we needed at least 5 gallons of gas. We added more gas and it started right up. My question is when using the generator will it continue running when gas level drops below 5 gallons? Thanks
