Right size, right price

Started first time. A little loud but it's not a mower... Footprint is good. Fits nice in the shed.

Good unit but hard to start

Requires a warm up (carburetor area) before I can start it. I use hair drier but what to do when no electricity??? Can electric start be installed?

Several small irritating concerns

I've had the unit for several years. It was always difficult to start. I took it in for servicing and was told it had poor quality wiring. I ran it monthly and always shut it down by turning of the fuel flow off to keep the carburetor clean. The fuel flow lever broke off. I purchased a new fuel valve. The old valve broke with off leaving the threaded collar stuck in the fuel tank. I purchased a new fuel tank. In changing the fuel tank I discovered cracked hoses. I'm having difficulty...

This product has great features!

The Generac 3250 served us well after Hurricane Irma. It ran everything in the house including a small a/c.

It does what a generator does, electrify things!

No problems. Starts right up as long as you can follow instructions that a cat can follow, one pull. I use 92 Clear. That means 92 octane non-ethonal. It's over the top and not required to run this machine. I run this generator once per week for a half hour to make sure to keep it in good working condition.

Fiber pull rope - REALLY???

Generator comes in handy when power goes out but only operates fridge, freezer, maybe a light or two - but that's all that's needed. Completely shocked when I needed it most to find that the pull rope broke. It's a fiber pull rope! Not sure why on earth fiber was used instead of nylon. Users need long term reliability.

good product

i bought this generator in 2011 and used it many times without any problems i use 4 lights 2 t.v's 1 frig 1 space heater without tripping the breaker life saver and we lose power all the time must use 4 to 5 times a year run greats last long on one tank of gas the only thing is i wished it came with the 240 cord to be able to bring in more power but over all love it

Good but not Excellent

I purchased this generator on September 27th 2017 and last week on March 6th 2018 I was trying to use it because I lost power and the generator is stuck. Other than that he was working fine and not too loud. I was really like it.

not worth the money

I bought this as a power source for a tool shed. it won't run much more then the a couple of lights with out tripping the breaker 3250 watts is 28 amps and they put a 14 amp breaker on the 110 volt outlet so you can only use half of the generators output

it wont supply basic power

I recently bought this to supplement a jobsite, since all i had was a honda 2000 invertor, however, the generac wont even run basic tools without tripping the breaker, it wont even run a small trim compressor that the honda does, the honda 2000 out performs this piece, thanks for wasting my money generac i cant believe this is still a problem after reading the same posts from 5 yrs ago

Can’t beat its reliability.

I purchased the generator for home/backup power use several years ago- used it a few times that year. Went 3 years without using it- put fuel stabilizer in it..started right back up. Never lets me down.

Its an excellent product.I have purchased others brands but nothing as Generac.Really the best brand.

This product is very economic and easy to use.

I live in Puerto Rico Where hurricane Maria passed. The generator Generac is a success, it is economical, it pays 12 hours and it helped me.The warranty and service of the product convinced me to make the investment in it.

Our first generator...

Seems to be a good generator for the money spent. The only complaint that we have is that the pull handle broke on the 2nd pull. We contacted Generac directly and they were expedient in processing an order for a new recoil assembly to be sent to us. I would have hoped that a better quality pull ("T" piece) would have been used on such a highly recommended generator.

Great generator for the price

We live off the grid in Maine and use this generator once or twice a week to charge our batteries and run what we need. Starts on the first pull every time. No issues. It works just like it should with no complaints. I would buy this again.
