This product has great features
Would RecommendI purchased this in 2012 for occasional power outages. I didn't have to use it until December of 2013 during an ice storm. I added gas, and it started up immediately. It's relatively quiet, compared to the all the other units that were running in my neighborhood, and had no problem running my appliances. The on/off switch was broken, luckily in the "on" position. I was able to shut it off by turning off the fuel line and have ordered a new switch.

What I was looking for
Would RecommendBeen very happy with the generator so far. I like that it is lighter than most competitor's units with similar power. It has started on the first pull every single time so far and is quieter than I expected. An hour meter would have been nice for maintenance intervals.

Started right up on the first pull of the rope and runs good.
Would RecommendStarted right up on the first pull of the rope and runs good. I bought it mainly to run my two sump pumps when the power goes out. I recently purchased it and have not used it yet during a power outage. I did plug in a light and a space heater and it ran good and did not hesitate when I turned on the 1,500 watt heater. It appears to be a very good generator and it makes me feel better knowing I have it the next time I loose power. I wish it had an hour meter.

Totally satisfied
Would RecommendQuality excellent. Started right up and never had any problems for the next 6 days that we were without power. Two heavy duty extension cords kept the refrigerator, furnace and freezer on all the time. Even the water pump kept going, but at time we had to unplug the refrigerator so as not to overload the generator. The only additional feature I can wish for is to be able to daisy chain two generators together to handle loads. This would be nice since from a weight stand point two and easier to h...

Good Price, Easy to move
Would RecommendI just put the Generac generator together and started on the first pull. It was easy to assemble and easy to move around. I wish the oil fill was easier to fill. Overall great unit, hope all goes well with our next power outage.

This generator is a geat value for the price.
Would RecommendWe were looking for a dependable emergency back up generator with a modest price. We were surprised to find this high quality Generac generator at a price you would only expect to pay for some off brand discount store model. We are very comfortable knowing when the time comes we have a quality product we can depend on.

Best mix of quality and value.
Would RecommendI have used many different sizes and brands of portable generators over a 22 year career in heavy industrial maintenance. There are very expensive very durable brands out there and there are cheap and undependable. I put Generac in the very durable and reliable class but cost much less than comparable brands. When I needed a portable generator for my own personal use I chose Generac.

its a 3250
Would Recommenddont expect to power your entire house with this little gem. its easy to set up out of the box,,just dont wait until its 10 degrees to do it. starts on the first or second pull,,easy to pull also. it is less noisy,,i use noisy because "Quiet" sets you up for more than expected results. if your on a farm its quiet,,if your in a tight neighborhood,,,it's kinda loud,,,but,,you need power so too bad. no worse than a 2 cycle lawn mower,,you know,,a low roar rather than a 4 cycle assault .but it is 4 ...

Excellent product for the buck
Would RecommendPurchased this generator as a backup power source when there is a power outage especially winter time to be able to run the furnace. This small but powerful unit does the job and does it well. I can run a fridge a freezer and the furnace with no problem whatsoever. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cheap backup power source.

So far, so good!
Would RecommendI just purchased the GP3250, added oil, gas, and got it running with two relatively easy pulls in -15deg C (5deg F) cold. It's very quiet, looks sturdy, is fairly light, and overall feels solidly built. My only complaint is that the breakers for the 120v receptacles are 14amps, meaning you can't run some tools (table saws) without tripping the breaker. Why only 14, when so many heavy tools are at the 15 threshold? Other than that, quite pleased, and picked up on sale as well.

Perfect for emergencies or deer camp
Would RecommendFollowed the instructions and went together easily. After adding gas and oil the generator fired up on the first pull with the choke on in 28 degree weather with blowing snow. The little generator was able to keep up with air compressors in my garage, lights, and radios with no problem.
