Runs quieter and has great App features.

We bought this 24KW four months ago and was only able to get it installed a month ago. So far we're very pleased with it. We bought a 22KW Generac 20 years ago and got a lot of usage out of it in south Louisiana. Back then it was referred to as a "whole house generator" but we soon learned that didn't mean you could run "everything" in the house on it. I had the 26KW unit installed almost one year, experienced twice power outages, the unit turned on automatically. It served the purpose as expected.

If you have the extra money, put it to GOOD use!

We have had the unit for about 10 months. It now tests twice a month for 10 minutes self checking and keeping the oil moving around. We had an outage the week after it was installed while we were away. I received a notice of it working, via the app, as it was supposed to do. We have had two other outages last year. The unit performed perfectly. So far so good! I had a year of complimentary wireless coverage. I just signed up for the next year. While not really a cheap benefit, it is nice to have...

Ease of mind.

When installed we were very pleased. In the past year it was only needed for a few hours but the ease of mind is well worth it. Sound is a bit loud and weekly testing is very reliable, The wifi needs improvement when the signal is lost. It is a bit difficult to reconnect. Our installer was excellent.

Never Worked

Piece of crap. Never worked when needed. Continues to give default message. Either a lemon or improperly installed.

I purchased a month ago and haven't had to use it.

purchased in nov of 24 - exercise clock runs every friday at 4 - never missed - run for outages maybe 4 times and transfers in and out no problem

Just do it

I was hesitant to purchase this at first. My wife insisted that we do. Since purchase we have had 2 major storms and the Generac has performed flawlessly. The whole valley was without power for 2 days and we were eating popcorn and watching Netflix. I will say that we can hear it running when it comes on, but it's a small price to pay for comfort.

24KW in Ohio

Everything works as planned. My install was April 2025 and I just had an event in March 2026 where the unit ran for 24 hours consecutively. No issues. And very little oil usage. My recommended installer is 5*.

Best investment.

We are very happy to have this generator. It also has made our property added value. Good for resale.

We have been thinking about buying a Generac for years. So glad we finally did! Our neighbors had their installation done in 2018. Every time a storm caused an outage, they were completely comfortable, up and running! It has made us feel much more secure with the hurricane season coming.

Peace of mind

Bought my Generac after an ice storm and a tornado. We have only had to use it once since it was installed. Knowing I can heat and cool my home as well as protect my pool pumps and hot tub equipment from freezing is well worth the investment!

Performs extremely well.

I am one week away from my first year having the Generac and it has performed ad expected.

Solid Unit

I have had my unit installed for 731 days. Through 2 power outages it performed well. The first one lasted for several days; shutting it down to rest and change the oil was easy. Being able to monitor the unit with the mobile App is a great feature.

50/50 feelings

I wish I had better things to say but I feel the company that installed the unit did a poor job the unit leaks oil and when I told them about it on the 1st maintenance visit, they wanted charge me extra this was part of the installation and has been leaking ever since . Other folks may have a better experience with this brand I think it was just the company that has installed mine .

Easy to use

Great company for install from start to finish. Works great. Hope it is never needed. All team members were polite and organized. Always showed when they were supposed to.

Now we have peace of mind in a storm

We bought our Stand by Generator recently and we are delighted with our purchase. I don’t have to dread dragging my walker over the extension cords in the floor when the power is off.
