Battery life not as advertised

I had looked at the Epix and read / watched reviews for 7 months before I pulled the trigger and I must say it is mostly a great watch with great features. The biggest feature that drew me to the Epix was the advertised battery life combined with the Amoled display of 6 days in always on mode. But having had the watch for over 2 months now the only time I ever got to 6 days was with the display off where it should get to 13 days. Replaced my Apple watch this

Does everything I wanted from my Apple Watch AND I do not need to charge it every day or push a button to tell it I’m jumping in the pool!

Fantastic watch but a problem with the Start/Stop. EPIX Pro > EPIX

First off, Garmin's warranty and support is world class. I went through two EPIX 2 Sapphire watches due to flooding of the case during Kiteboard/WingFoil activities. Both are "high speed water activities" which the standard EPIX should withstand at the 10 ATM rating. I called Garmin and I received replacement watch within days. After flooding the second watch the Garmin rep recommended upgrading to the EPIX Pro due to the different build on the Start/Stop button. Not everyone explores the limits...

Great battery and lots of customization

I've been using this for about a month now and it is very good. Battery lasts about 2 weeks with normal use and workouts.

Highly functional, incredible battery life

This watch does it ALL - and the battery life is unparalleled (at least as far as Garmin watches go). I exercise about 10 hours a week and only need to charge the watch about once a week. I use it for bike, run, swim, hike, multisport, walk, yoga, strength, HIIT, and cardio. I like the adjustability of the data fields and displaying what I want. This watch is extremely durable, has every function you could want, great battery life, and does an excellent job tracking data.

Great fitness/smart watch

Love the bright display, had a watch with the cheaper display, this one really pops no matter the ambient light. Coming from a competitor fitness product, the Garmin universe is very robust. The training plans, tracking and input are much more in-depth, rather than just getting data, you get some feedback. Battery life is good, not as good as my previous watch, but that's the price for the AMOLED display. Looks nice, band is comfortable, and has worked great!

Back to a Garmin

I switched to an Apple Watch and was disappointed. Hiked the Grand Canyon after having this watch for a month. Great stats and battery life

Down button now working after 4 wks of gentle use

Very disappointed. Down button doesn’t respond. After just 4 weeks of use. Garmin does not cover the warranty. And I’m left with a half useless expensive watch.

Love the features, bluetooth still not great

I've had the Epix for about a month now (used to have a Fenix 5). Love the quick access to the weather, training matrix steps, heart rate sleep score, HRV status, music controls (which I really like) and a few other stats. Battery life is really good but I do not use it for navigation. I was hoping that the bluetooth technology would have gotten better since the Fenix 5 but it has not. The Epix disconnects from my phone when the watch is on my wrist and my phone is in my back pocket. RIDICULOU...

It does everything I want!

I purchased this watch to upgrade my Garmin Forerunner 955 solar as I wanted the maps for hiking and backpacking. I read and watched a lot of reviews before making my decision. I was worried about the battery life on the epix (Gen 2) but I didn’t need to worry. I don’t use always on display and I can, at times, easily get 10 days of battery life. Great watch!

The Epic is my 3rd Garmin. I also have the Forunner 745. I love both watches. I use the 745 for races as it is a smaller/lighter watch. Love all the features the Epic has and that the battery last much longer.
