Love, love, love it

As a former Forerunner owner, the Epix Sapphire is perfect for me. From the brilliance of the screen - more important for older folk - to the plethora of features, I am thrilled to wear this watch. Data for swimming, hiking and yoga is superb. Important: You must turn off Battery Saver to get sleep data. This is NOT listed anywhere. Overall, the clarity of the screen and the many capabilities of Epix Gen2 are just phenomenal.

Best Upgrade to my Training

Advanced training metrics and sleep tracking have already made a difference in my training system. Things like load ratio and being able to account for all activities as accumulated load is a game changer, versus having a cycling computer that only accounts for cycling activities. This watch had changed my perspective on health and fitness. Great watch with tons of functionality and very easy to use. I love Garmin Coach programs !!! It keeps me motivated.

Crazy data, not tied to a charger

Like it but

Like it a lot but seems like it loses connection to phone more time than I'd like. It's that blasted Garmin connect app that is wonky. Frankly, just figuring out how to get the connect iq store to interface with it is too many steps. But I'm glad I bought it. Just wonky connection stuff.

Backup for my deeply flawed Fenix 8

I recently bought a fenix 8 sapphire, and it’s is so unfunctional that I had to reconfigure my Epix 2 to use until Garmin gets around to fixing the many many bugs in the Fenix.

Great Watch

Got this from my wife as a birthday present to replace my Instinct. So far I have been nothing but impressed. The features are simple and pertinent. Excellent tracking of your workouts and your body’s response to them. Goes further than most watches by helping with recovery also. Highly recommend if you want to effectively track your biometrics.

Disappointed

I couldn’t wait to change from my Apple Watch to the Garmin Epix . Unfortunately I was disappointed. I could not use my music apps. I also couldn’t believe that as soon as I walked outside to my patio, the watch immediately disconnected from my phone within about 20 feet. Sadly the watch was returned. Also no charger came in the box.

Many features and brighter

I've owned the Epix Gen 2 for about 3 weeks now, upgraded from a Fenix 5. The Epix has many more features and with that makes it a little more convoluted to operate. I really like the health functions regarding sleep, rest, and then training. The display being brighter and higher contrast actually makes it easily to see during an activity.

Overall good watch

I really like the watch, I just wish it had a better battery life. On full charge it says 17 days, but I barely get 7 days. I previously had the Garmin Instinct, unless I was going somewhere to dress up, I would wear my Victorinox with leather straps. I wanted something that I could wear to all occasions, and this fit the bill. I have nylon straps in different color to make it fun and match what I was wearing. Reliable with many functions

Have had the watch for about a month and has performed as promised. Very comfortable fit as I now wear it all night to get an accurate sleep score. I probably only use about 2% of the functions available as the online manual is like 160 pages.

It does it all!

I bought this a month ago luckily on sale and it does all the activity and health features I wanted and MORE. I use it daily for walks and cycling, and I used it for displaying the tides of an ocean area where I fish. The morning feature is nice, because it gives you a health rundown of your readiness to workout according to your sleep, recovery, and more. It's very durable and waterproof, too. Indispensable

I love this watch. I have several extremely expensive watches - Hublot/Rolex - I have not worn them since I purchased my Epix. It does everything such that I never take it off. The morning reports are pretty good indicators of my energy level - HRV being the best. The heart rate monitor is also pretty good. I have uploaded a bunch of music so I no longer have to run with my iPhone. Worth every penny and then some.

Impressed with the features!

I had a Garmin Instinct which I loved and used many years - now that I got a good deal on the Epix (Gen 2) I upgraded and I am so glad I did. I still use the Instinct at times but the data collection of HR and quick GPS acquisition and the ability to read the display so much better is impressing me. I also love the watch face customization and glances and apps you can load - quite a step up compared to the Instinct and the touch screen was also something I love.

Great

The watch battery is amazing last four days the accuracy of the steps and heart rate are great. It’s a great for walks and being out and about for along period of time. It’s very light weight and surprisingly very durable. It is a Watch. I would recommend. I hope one day That the watch will have cellular connectivity or satellite for better communication.

EPIX2

This watch is amazing. I feel like I have a personal trainer/coach on my wrist. The new Fenix 8 series will have more bells and whistles but this watch has the same beautiful display and everything I need and much more.

A good upgrade from a Fenix 6S

My daily watch was previously a Fenix 6s. The Epix user interface relies on the same buttons, so is very familiar, but also has a touch screen (that can be toggled on and off). The watch is much more responsive and this is especially noticeable when manipulating a map view (the touch screen also makes map navigation much easier). Garmin Epix Gen 2

This watch does absolutely everything I expected and more. It helps me keep track of all of my workouts and activities. I have found the Garmin golf feature to be incredibly accurate. Gives me exact same yardages as my range finder I currently have. The sleep and recovery tracking on the watch is also phenomenal and way better than Apple Watches.
