Great watch / Sup-par App Connectivity

I bother this a few weeks back. I picked this watch for the ability to integrate workouts and to connect with my GPS transponder. The altimiter, barometer, compass, GPS, etc are great. Sadly, I am disappointed with the functionality of the workout app. The menu-navigation and workout navigation itself on the watch is not intuitive at all. Lots of features

I bought this as a recommended device for training there is a lot of customization that can be done. As someone who doesn't typically wear watches, this one is very minimal while still providing lots of stuff and the battery life is great the solar charging capabilities really help when I forget to charge it.

Still Learning Features

Overall I am enjoying my Instinct 2 Solar Tactical. I received it as a gift. The only issue I have is getting used to accessing its features. That is more on me than the watch.

Great watch - Instinct 2 Solar - Tactical

I've had this watch for 5 weeks. Never had a "Smart Watch" previously. While it was not the easiest to set up (I think the term is feature rich) I think it is probably where I can use it. It provides value for me, I like it, there's no buyer's remorse, and I am wondering what took me so long. Don't wait!!! Buy the watch

This watch is a super good upgrade! It works very well! It’s worth the money.

Great watch

I have an older version of this watch and I highly recommend it. I've used it for walking, body boarding, mile swims, kayaking, weights, running, biking, backpacking..... Having solar really helps out when you're in the backcountry and not having to worry about the battery life so much. Sensors work well and are accurate.

Epic Watch!

After previously owning a Instinct 1 Solar Tac, this is an AMAZING upgrade. The solar charging works great, the heart rate appears to be more accurate (when compared with the Garmin chest hr), and the sleep score feature is fantastic. Everything about this watch is great!

I absolutely love this watch so far. It is super comfortable and easy to use once you know what button des what. The app I also great and allows for a lot of customization. I use the running activity mostly, but the workout ones are also great.

Great tool

It's got a lot of features, more than I'll ever use, but it's an amazing piece of my wardrobe now. It took a while to whittle down the settings to what I actually wanted and needed. Love the pace settings for running, SPo2, day/night faces, etc. Check carefully if you actually need all the features before choosing the tactical solar version as the other versions are cheaper.

Spent months debating if I should make the purchase or not. I did and couldn't be happier! The watch does everything I wanted it for and more. 6 Months of Use

I previously had an Apple Watch SE but was disappointed in its fitness tracking. I found the Instinct 2 Tactical Solar to be comparable in price but way more loaded with features. The battery life compared to an Apple Watch is not even a fair comparison, I would avoid using my Apple Watch in order to stretch 2 days of use out of it. Great everyday watch

Acquired this as an upgrade from my Casio for some additional capabilities, huge fan of the feel, look, and ease of use.

Like it but

I like it but, I wish it had a different wrist band option.

A little hard to navigate all the features.

Using the dog track mode would prefer to see a pointing dog vice a poodle looking dog when dog is not moving. Plus need to add color for the different collars you are tracking.

Over priced

I bought this watch a few weeks ago. For the same amount of money as an Apple Watch it has way less features, far inferior screen quality and the band is causing a reaction on my skin that resembles necrotizing fasciitis. So I can’t even wear it. The one redeeming quality is that the battery life and solar feature are great.

Replaced my Apple Watch with this. There was a bit of a learning curve but the workout mechanism is great (as long as you set it up beforehand). Battery lasts quite a while; much better than having to charge it every night. The sleep tracking is informative. Haven't used the night vision mode but will definitely give it a shot this weekend. The Apple Watch was a problem at night under NODS.

Replacement

My Tactical Solar failed. Was told I could pay for a new Solar 2, as they can’t fix my dead Solar. Then they only had Black, and I wanted Green like I had or Tan. Overall I paid a bit, for something I am not overly enjoying or trust to last. Do your homework. I hope this watch lasts a few years.

Rugged watch that is loaded with features.

I've been using this for about 6 months now, really love the product so far. I wear it daily for all training activities and sleep, and it does a solid job giving data on my performance. It's pretty easy to navigate once you spend a little time practicing, and it can take a beating. I bought this watch over a year ago and I’ve never plugged it in to charge it. I do turn it off at night to conserve battery, but I have only charged it using solar. It currently has 22 days of use left, but it been around that amount since I bought it. I love all the features. Being able to keep track of my workouts effortlessly.
