Good watch

Watch has a lot of features and improvements but speed of connectivity with app is to slow and isn’t automatic like an Apple Watch Sleep Tracker takes to many hours to update as well as vo2 max and HRV

Amazing Capacity!!

Amazing durability, fantastic battery life that's advertised fairly accurately, and great features. There's a slight hangup on the strength training feature where it feels like it does too much, but that's a really pretty nitpick for what's otherwise the best product on the market I've gotten to use.

Amazing little watch!

This is my first Garmin watch and buying this was probably the best decision I’ve made recently. While it may not have a fancy display that some higher end watches do, it works perfectly for everything in need.

Great features, updates are hit or miss

Its a great watch, covers my needs very well in terms of features. That said, I bought it because the battery life on the basic model was phenomenal, and I thought adding solar charging would be even better. It started out getting 2-3 weeks, and then an update hit that drained it in a day. I've been averaging less than a week since then, even though I do a full factory reset after each update

Nice features but display lacks

I really like the watch, but wish I spent a little more on the Instinct Solar 2X…just for a bigger screen and longer battery life.

Glad I switched

I'm glad I switched to Garmin watches. I usually stuck to the mainstream smart watches like Samsung or Google but needed something that lasted longer. Now I can always keep my watch on and hardly ever take it off to charge it. The only bad thing is Garmin doesn't support my bank so I can't use Garmin pay which sucks. I paid a lot of times with my other watches but hopefully they will support it eventually. Tracks my runs flawlessly and is way better than the other brands.

Garmin Instinct 2 Solar tactical

Works great. While in SWCC it was really nice to be able to see my heart rate and it's incredibly durable. I also swim in salt water with it weekly. Just remember to wash it off every once in a while with dish soap and fresh water to keep it clean. The compass is a great feature for land nav as well. I also love the "stealth mode". 10/10 highly recommended. If you want a durable watch you only have to charge roughly once a months the Garmin instinct tactical is the greatest for the price.

Aside from getting used to the controls it’s a great watch. I’m in L.E. and the watch is just what I was looking for. Haven’t fully explored all the workout tracking but what I have done the watch is very accurate with tracking reps. Size is great for me with the tactical version. I have used Apple Watches and while those are nice they were just too much. This gives me the info I need without being a distraction

Great Entry - Intermediate Outdoors Watch

I think its a great watch for the price. It is able to do smart watch features such as tap to pay or answer phone calls without all the extra complexity of a true smart watch. The screen is very tough and durable. No visible scratches after going to the beach or rock climbing. The various modes are nice, and the integration with other health apps is also a convenient feature. The battery life is good. Excellent outdoor fitness watch

My previous watch was a Vivoactive 3 from 2019. I really liked its color touchcreen and its ability to store a few workouts. I was looking to replace it mainly for another Garmin with longer battery life. When I started using this Instinct, I was a little thrown off by how different the controls are. I used to own the original Instinct Solar Tactical until recently. Unfortunately, the latest update rendered it useless causing it to discharge rapidly. That's when I contacted Garmin about my issue who were determined to get to the bottom of it. After a couple of days exchanging information I was told the issue was unresolveable and was offered the Instinct 2 Solar Tactical instead. Needless to say I agreed. This watch has every feature I was looking for and some to grow on! It makes the everyday challenges much more manageable and still keeps you learning with the added features.

AMAZING!

This watch is amazing! It reports all of my features such as movement control, heart rate, pacing for running times, sleep rate, and so much more. In addition, it stays charged for days or even weeks which I love.

Small but nice updates from Instinct V1

I loved my first two instinct watches (I had two because of an issue after about a year with it shutting off which was a bummer, but Garmin made it right after the second one and upgraded me to a V2). The watch can take a beating and keep working!

The watch has been banged up, but there are no scratches or other issues. I have had to reset the watch once or twice, but that happens to any computer device.
