Great Purchase

I’ve had the opportunity to use this on the course a few times. So far it’s been great although I’m still learning about all the features. It has some non-golf bells and whistles I really don’t need but I appreciate the battery life. My old GPS watch (non Garmin) was down to about 20% after 18 holes.

Great Features

Bought this to replace my S40 watch. The watch works great. Long battery life. Easy to connect to your smart phone and Garmin app. Accuray is good. I find the accuracy is related to the course. Easy to see display even with sunglasses on. Considering purchasing the TC-10 adapters for my clubs since this watch works with them.

Hard to find the great features

Bought this several weeks ago and still have to carry around the little instruction book to wind my way through all the nuanced ways to get to the great features.

Overall a great golf gps watch

As a petite woman it is rather big … I had the Garmin approach x40 before which was slender… would love garmin to design a golf watch for women…

Works OK Better options than this piece of junk

When the watch operates properly it’s an OK GPS tool on the course. Problem is it doesn’t track holes properly and will skip holes or on occasion skip to the back nine when you haven’t even completed 2 holes. It’s cumbersome to use and doesn’t track scores properly. Also includes non essential information that simply clutters the screen and is useless while paying. Battery life is pathetic, only get 1 round per charge. Much better options better option for the price vs. this piece of junk.

Poor Face selections

Vivoactives had poor battery life, but for less money I had HR,Step&miles,battery&day of week,month&day on the watch face. S42 I get a battery bar, Thur 18,& clock. So to get 20 hrs in gps to play golf, I gave up a lot & paid way too much compared to a Vivoactive 5. My mistake.

Not syncing or downloading courses

I bought this watch with high hopes, it worked great then after updating stopped discovering courses and downloads won’t sync , reset to factory, reloaded courses , deleted app , reinstalled and nothing. Hope newer models don’t have same issues. Was so happy with product before update.

Great golf watch!

Bought the S42 to replace my Bushnell watch and it is so much better! Easy to set up and understand, still figuring out all the golf functions! Quality product!

Like the watch very much

I have noticed, friends that have the same watch or s62, their distances are sometime 5 - 10 yards different than mine. Does it need to be recalibrated, and if so,, how do I do that?

I’ve had my watch for a couple weeks and I love knowing how far I’m hitting each club on average. My game is already improving!!!

comfortable and practical

exactly what i need, every day watch that will keep up w golf round, i have ditched the rangefinder as distance is consistent within a yard. Very light on the wrist

Love Love Love

Just got my watch and I loved it as soon as I saw it. Then I felt the strap….strong but flexible ,soft and very comfortable Was worried my Iphone 7+ wouldnt pair due to age but it did! using golf features today but the bigger size dace nakes it easy to see and use… Im sure I will love that too Thank you Farmin!

Love it! Large distance numbers and the ability to reexamine my round with the tracking of all my shots is great!!

I play a course yhat some nlind holes that lazar range finders won’t work. Works great and very happy with it

S42 with Connect IQ

I have a S62 and love it. Bought a S42 for my wife and kept telling her about the Garmin IQ feature for downloading watch faces. Sucks being me telling her the S42 us not compatible!!

Great Purchase

Once I was able to understand that my normal course I play on was listed as the old name and reverse holes I am very pleased with the watch. Looking forward to using it on other courses.
