Perfect with slight modification

I was a bit skeptical at first after seeing the other poor reviews on this little torch, and after buying it, I can see where they are coming from. However, with a couple Super easy tweaks, this little torch is fantastic! First off, I took it apart and got rid of the little safety button thing on top. It’s great in theory, but Honestly is terribly executed in the way it was designed. It just annoyingly gets in the way and is much more of a hassle than a help. Luckily it is super easy to remove...

No good

The torch comes filled right from the package. It would not light for me. I then tried filling it some more and it still would not light. I took it apart and it’s basically a lighter you buy from any store to light a cigarette. I will be returning.

Worthless

A overpriced piece of junk, never did get it to work. What they call a fuel cell us actually a disposable $.99 lighter.. save your money

Hard to work

Didnt work great and the flame was hard to start.

Totally useless - never worked

Wish I had read the other reviews before I bought this. This is just a plastic holder for a flimsy lighter, which quickly broke. That's probably for the best as I won't jeopardize my safety with such a poor excuse for a product. Don't waste your money. I have always had better luck with Gardner Bender products, but perhaps their standards have slipped.

Clumsy

The safety/starting mechanism is quite clumsy. Once it’s ignited there are no issues. But can be tricky manipulating it when getting started.

There are better torches

Maybe I overfilled it, but it won’t stay lit. This is basically a butane lighter hooked to a torch head. Literally, the butane tank is a lighter without the flint and stryker. I wouldn’t recommend or purchase this again

JUNK!

A basic lighter that doesn’t work for $23?! I like Lowe’s, but this junk should be removed from the shelves.

A lighter in a canister

Hi, Thanks for reading. Thought I would leave a replay as this is very different from what I thought I was getting. See images. Its just lighter inside. Anyway I have done much better for the same price. E.g. Anchor brand.

Very handy

Small torch came in very handy, when needing to light BBQ. Also Used for painting projects, plastic especially, as the heat causes a reaction to make the paint stick better.

Garbage

Wish I had kept my receipt so I could have returned this item. Doesn’t light 9 out of 10 times. Doesn’t stay lit once you get it to light or light it with a separate lighter. Flame is pathetic when it is lit. Garbage. Lowe’s should pull this from their shelves out of self-respect and respect for their customers.

Nice for tiny projects

I do small decorative metal work project and my old pocket torch finally bit the big one. This is a good replacement for tiny brazing and silver solder projects.

Complete Garbage.

This item is complete garbage; essentially a butane lighter with a handle. Stays light even after trigger is released. Would’ve returned after opening but didn’t feel like wasting a trip to town. Zero stars.

Piece of crap

The fuel chamber is just a cheap butane lighter like you pick up at a convenience store for a dollar, but without the ability to light it. You have to fill it from the included dispenser (with no directions on how or that you should have to do this before using). The lighting mechanism requires your thumb to push one lever forward while also pushing down a another lever with the back of your thumb. Then you are rewarded with...NOTHING. It doesn't light. Ever. Don't buy it. IT DOESN'T WORK!
