Would not buy again

Extremely fragile and hard to handle. I’ve used other products that were much easier to handle and was much easier to move around on the window. After this dried and after very careful smoothing the paper the next day there were bubbles throughout the window. And unable to get them out. I would never buy this paper again.

Easy to use. Too much product for one little bathroom window

Very hard to work with

Bought Gila Rice Paper Window Film for the outside of a simple shower door. Very very difficult to work with. I have worked with other brands of Rice Paper for windows to control light and UV. But Gila's Rice Paper for Privacy was terrible!!! I trashed it all.

Poorly Designed

While I'm not a tradesman by occupation, I have significant remodeling experience. Despite following the installation instructions, I found this product incredibly difficult to install and am not pleased with the results. Because it comes in a roll, the sheet naturally folds in on itself during installation. It does give privacy day and night

I like that it does give privacy day and night. What I didn’t like is that it is tricky to put up and sometimes a bit challenging. I was able to put it up by myself. They recommend you to use the application spray. But sometimes it wouldn’t adhere because of that spray. The liquid dries quickly though. I had to pull it up and rub it back down constantly to try and get the bubbles out. It’s a process for sure. But in the end will give you the desired look that you are seeking. Do Not Buy

I have been doing window tint here at my shop for 30 years. I bought this product to use on cabinet door glass in a kitchen we just installed. It would not stay flat while installing. Kept wanting to curl back. I did finally get two windows done. A few hours later, the edges rolled back up. I have installed thousands of feet of film in my life and never had any issues I encountered dealing with this stuff.

Installation Requires Patience

We used the white rice paper on a large tub window, a smaller bathroom window, and our front door. The finished job looks good, and we are enjoying the privacy without shutting out all the light. But the installation took the two of us most of a day and was frustrating. Waste of Money

This product induces tons of frustration and makes you mad as heck in no time flat. Because it does anything but lay flat. This junk will roll upon itself constantly introducing tons of bubbles and some so big that they put the grand canyon to shame . I will NEVER utilize a product from this company again.

What a HEADACHE!

I read the directions first, so that I had somewhat of an idea of Gila, do better! This product is rolled in a manner that doesn't want to allow it to lay on the window! It peels up like crazy. I followed the directions to a T, and still had this film peeling at corners, and both sides. Unfortunately, if it wasn't for Scotch tape, I probably wouldn't have any film staying on my window. Usage

This product is not user friendly. It is rolled the wrong way on the roll, such that it rolls away from the window when you are applying. The only way we got it to work was using a PVC pipe, tape, & a hair dryer to stretch it the correct way. Pack your patience and have a second person to help you with your project. I would not have been able to apply this window film by myself. The overall look of the privacy film once applied is great, but applying is difficult.
