Metallic, weird taste
Would Not RecommendI bought directly from GE because I was worried about the trustworthiness of knock off filters. I bought this tasted funny and then my six year old confirmed my fears by saying "this water tastes like metal." So, now we are just using a Brita and I'm out the money that I spent on this questionable filter :(.

Doesn't work
Would Not RecommendInstalled in GE refrig and got dribble flow. Soaked hour in bucket of water, same result. Soaked overnight, same result. Enlarged output flow holes, same result. Pounded with heel of hand to break any seal, same result. Finally gave up and reinstalled old filter, result decent flow.

Making the water taste awful!
Would Not RecommendHave hired an appliance repair company and ruled out other possibilities and the truth is this water filter is making the water taste like mucus and making my stomach ache. Not sure what the problem is with these newer filters. The ones before (from GE) did not do this and I change it every 6 months...
