Buy the original and not aftermarket
Would RecommendSpend the extra money and by GE. I have tried two different and cheaper brands before with no success. In both cases, filter would not fit correctly or would not allow water flow. Buy GE, remove foil, and install filter. No hassle and no problems. Worth the purchase!

Works great, easy to change.
This is the correct filter for my fridge. It does its job and lasts for the 6 months it is supposed to last. Easy to change and the ice cubes don't taste like tap water. I hope they are available as long as I have my fridge or I will have to go back to ice cube trays :-0

Pressure Loss
Would Not Recommendi notice a significant water pressure loss at the refrigerators water spout. this has been getting worse over time. Although at times, i can get a new GSWF filter that seems to work fine, ie. no flow or pressure drop problems. The problem seems to lie in the filter. There is no build up if the refrigerators tubing/routing. This problem has been getting worse and i attribute it to the manufacturing process.
