Ok but disappointed

We replaced our old GE Profile Freestanding Oven with the newest GE Profile model. We thought that there would be improvement but were disappointed that features that we used were eliminated. It is a disappointment.

A Nice Looking Range

We like the hidden heating element in the Oven. We do not like how hard it is to keep the Range Top clean. It shows every mark and marks easily. We do not like how the dual temperature burners work. With both burners on one knob it is very hard to find the right setting. Our older GE Range had a switch for the dual burners so it allowed a full 360 degree range for setting the temperature. We might have returned it if we had purchased it at a big box store. A nice looking stove.

Range top is garbage!

Range top is garbage! High heat then off high heat then off. That is NOT how you provide low heat. BURNS EVERYTHING!!!

Air fryer is disappointing

The air fryer does not cook food well at all. This option added cost to the price of my oven that I will be using very often because of its performance. Disappointing. I was hoping to save some counter space for my separate air fryer, I guess not.

Temperature setting is great!

The temperatures are true and that's a real plus. The timer is difficult to set and hear also. The sounds need to be a little louder

Disappointed

Replaced “identical” 2016 GE Profile range with the one purchased. The new range is an inferior product. It takes too long to preheat. Stainless oven racks are inferior to the porcelain coated racks on 2016 model.

Digital pads

The digital pad for the oven features is inoperative after less than a years use.

Over all baking

The stove top is fine, the oven sucks. Old recipes dont bake the same.what took 32 min in my old GE now takes 36-38 min. Preheat doesn't really meet the set temp for at least 30 min bc I use an oven thermometer too. The heat varies 325-370 when set at 350. When you open the door the temp automatically drops 15-20 degrees. So between cakes I must wait at least 20 min before temp goes back up. I had my cakes down to a science. Cookies are a whole other monster. Now this new fancy thing is not a...

Range works well don't need the wifi

Range works great However, wifi is a waste. Could not get it to work. Not really needed

Oven door not closing completely.

We are disappointed that the oven door does not close all the way. It is staying open to the point where the oven light is just barely turning off. We have contacted the dealer and they are sending out a crew to hopefully make an adjustment so that the door closes completly. Also, the height of the glass cooking surface is ~ 3/4" above the standard height of our countertops. Two previous stoves have fit evenly with the countertop. Nice appliance, good price

I’m happy with everything except the timer, the alarm is much too quiet, so far that’s the only thing I’m not happy with

Spend more time cleaning than cooking.

I do not cook much because this stove top is so hard to clean, scratches very easily, the oven takes a long time to preheat. I use GE's recommended cookware and cleaning kit. I HATE this GE Profile Range PB900YV1FS. My previous flat top stove looked better than this after 20 years, than this in less than a year. It is ridiculous. I have an over the range GE microwave, it takes a long time defrost, cook , warm up to complete.

I really like this range. I do wish the timer tones were louder.

Not worth the extra $$

Bad decision. The controls on the panel like setting the clock or wi-fi are so cumbersome. Right now I've tried to reset the time about a dozen times and it doesn't stay. Disappointed in the air fryer also.

Still undecided on latest GE Profile Range model

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This replaced a prior GE Profile range that I really liked, but the burners started to malfunction. Anyhow, this GE Profile range I had for a month before the oven would randomly turn back on after shutting it off. I received a replacement that was dented and replaced that one. My issues with this model is that it only comes with 2 racks instead of 3. The AirFry doesn’t preheat, which sounds good, but then takes even longer to really “air fry.”...
