Highly disappointed.

This unit stopped working within two years, and during those two years it jammed multiple times. I have a single person household with very limited use of the disposal. Despite that it’s constantly jammed. Easy to install - Great directions

I just installed this garbage disposer. It was very easy to install. The combination of pictures and clearly written directions are much appreciated. We replaced a 20 year old GE unit and hope this one lasts as long. There are brief directions for how to use, and clean the unit. They clearly list the warranty information of one year and how to extend your warranty. It took me about 20 minutes to install. Removing the old unit took more like an hour due to difficulty loosening the sink drain. I ...

Easy to Install

My husband and I installed this garbage disposal today. It replaced a similar GE model (GFC520F) that was installed 13 years ago. The installation instructions were very easy to follow and it fit perfectly. It is working very well. We couldn't be happier with this product.

Longevity

We had a GFC520F for about 15 years so figured to stay with the samething. Very fast and easy to install.

Great product works well. Installation was very easy. Well written Installation instructions. Replaced a 16 year old GFC320F. Would definitely buy again.

One big failing.

I have just replaced the 2nd of the GFC520V series Garbage DisposAll units. They worked fine for about 3 years, and both have failed the same way. The cutters let loose because of wear and tear on them and the rivets that hold them in place. I have replaced the latest with a GFC520N only because of the ease in swapping it out. (no messing with the mounting hardware). Maybe the cutters and rivets should be of a harder wearing material

Easy Install

This was the easiest install I've completed ever. I'm completely novice regarding plumbing and handy (around the house) work. It took me 15 minutes max to install this device. *side note* it was a replacement, not a new install.*

Had to replace after just 4 years

We purchased our home in March if 2019, just my wife and I living in the home. We eat out often so we do not utilize the disposal often. One of the knives came off leaving the disposal useless. On the positive side I replaced it with the same model and it was a ten minutes repair. We are hoping we get more then 4 years out of this one.

Fit the space exactly as the old disposal.

Stopped working in less than 2 years

Stopped working after 18 months. Just get a humming noise when trying to use it. No obstructions. Bought the corded model for the 2 year warranty, but now have to try to get it replaced without paying GE $115 dollars to have someone come out and tell me it's broke.

Easy Install and Works Well

This unit was very easy to install as I was replacing a previous GE garbage disposal. All I had to do was release the old one and attach this new one. It also appears to work very well.

Good product at a good price

Excellent product and correct size for my cabinet and easy to install.

Tolerance Off

I've been unable to get this installed for hours. The mounting ring seems to be out of tolerance, because it can't fit over the cushion mount on the sink flange. Expected more from GE.

Will die after 2 years of low use

This came pre-installed in my new house. With only two people living here and regular/low use i already have to replace it. My plumber said they don’t even use this size in apartments.

Easiest Disposal to Install

Great disposal at a great price. Can’t beat the EZ install design.
