What Customers Are Saying
The product has mixed reviews. Some customers found it effective at keeping leaves out of gutters and easy to install, but many reported issues with the low-quality, flimsy material that is difficult to work with. Common problems include the product sagging, curling up, and failing to block smaller debris from clogging the gutters. Several reviewers noted the product did not last long, with some experiencing issues within a week of installation. Overall, this appears to be an inexpensive but low-quality gutter guard that may provide short-term benefits for some, but is unlikely to be a durable long-term solution for most.

I had new gutters installed and went ahead and put the old gutter shields on. These are the pre-made 3ft long solid plastic ones. They slide under the shingles fairly easily. It took about 30 minutes to do 100 feet or so on a two story Cape Cod. I had a great thought that getting these for my garage would be a good idea so I jumped in the truck. I ended up getting the cheapest way to do the job which is this roll of gutter guard. Not such a great idea. You cut off a 5ft strip as the instructions...
Here's an install video
Would RecommendVERY easy to install, and does the trick, keeps the birch tree leaves out of my gutters. Here's a video I put together showing got to install.
Works well with leaves, not so well with needles
Would RecommendInstalled about a year ago, works very well to keep regular leaves out of the gutters, in New England. I still need to get on a ladder every 2-3 months to deal with the few long, slender, White Pine needles that find their way through the mesh, and which in turn trap the very small debris that would normally just flush down the down-spouts.
Not for Maple Trees
Would Not RecommendThis product works OK for leaves, but not if you have maple trees that produce those "helicopter" seed pods. They will fly into the openings and stick straight up. You'd be surprised how many will find their way into the small holes and become lodged in there. Cleaning them out is such a time consuming job, I decided that this is not the right product for my home.
Cheap and simple solution to clogged gutters
Would RecommendSimple to install. Did the front gutters in about 20 minutes. The most time consuming part is moving the ladder. Works great keeps the leafs, sticks and acorns out of the gutter and keeps the down spout from getting clogged.
I didn't expect it to work.
Would RecommendWe purchased our home with gutters which I removed due to damage to the trim and sheeting from lack of maintenance by the previous owners. Just last year I had new gutters installed and found myself on the roof weekly when the drake elms around the house started dropping their tiny leaves. I tried to see what the pro's were using on some of the home improvement shows but most of that stuff is expensive. So I decided to try the highest rated but not too expensive item from the local home store fi...
Wish product came in different colors (White)
Would RecommendMy gutters are white, so I purchased white spray paint and sprayed the mesh to match my gutters. If the product came in white, this would have saved me from having to buy paint, as well as time.

Plastic Mesh Gutter Guard
Would RecommendI put new gutters and wanted to keep them from leaves and debris. I went to Lowes and picked out the cheapest product since everything else was over double the price. I installed the first twenty feet in less than five minutes and it looked great. I did not have to trim it to fit. I went and bought more twenty foot rolls and did the rest of the house. It looks great and performs flawlessly.

I do not use this product for gutters!!! I use it as a "Mulch Guard" along the edge of my sidewalk to keep the mulch from overflowing onto the sidewalk when it rains too hard. It is great! The water can flow through the mesh & not back up against the house. The mulch stays in place & the mesh edging is not noticeable!! I have been using it for several years & it holds up well to everyday use. I use garden pins to add support to the edging. I also use the mesh as a barrier to keep the mulch from ...

Inexpensive Gutter Guard
Would RecommendEasy to use; only need supports (sold separately), if gutter is totally open with no supports; cuts easily with scissors

pretty good
Would RecommendIt was easy to install and cheap. The tip with the tie downs is a good idea. We have a lot of trees around the house and the gutters are always full, this works good

Plastic Mesh Gutter Guar
Would RecommendSimple to install. Have only had it in for a couple of weeks so too early to tell how well it will stay in the gutter when we get a heavy wind.

The only problem is the very end of the roll is curled inside itself and that portion can not be used properly. Still highly recommend this product. I just replaced my original mesh gutter guard from 2002. It works great as I have over 30 trees in my yard, most of which are oak. I have never had any problems with this product.

WORKS GREAT BUT DO NOT INSTALL AS PER INSTRUCTIONS
Would RecommendThese works great, but the first ones we installed as per instructions caught leaves at the outside edge, and had to be cleaned out by hand!! NOW TRY THIS PLEASE:- When you install them have plastic ties on hand. Place the frost king gutter guards under the shingles, then lay them ON TOP of the gutters, tying them down with the ties at each gutter support. This will STOP the leaf traps that installing the other way causes. We have SO many trees around us, and leaves are coming down at an alarmin...
