Two valves stop working correctly after about a year. Troubleshooting doesn't help.

Solved my "water hammer" issue

We had been experiencing "water hammer" whenever one of the toilets were flushed - likely due to the commode tank filler value closing abruptly. We had tried solving it by draining the water from our system to restore the air chamber - no change! So, I replaced all the in tank components per the instructions ... NO MORE WATER HAMMER! The toilet is quieter and performs just as well! Very pleased with the result.

Problem with tank attachment bolts!

Just completed the tank "Fluidmaster Repair Kit" install. I had a leak the first time I completed the install of the tank repair. I had to remove it four times! clean-up the water remove the tank and try to determine the reason for the leaks. Finally determined the mounting screws were faulty. they would not hold and would not tighten and stay tight. Luckily I had previously purchased a set that I used, and Viola it held the first time. Yes, but...

I have installed dozens of FluidMaster kits and today was a first for me. Typically, FluidMaster has been the gold standard for dependability. My issue today was with the advertisement for "Universal". I installed these kits on two Gerber toilets today. I learned that the red tank seal "donut" that comes with the FluidMaster is not as "Universal" as I expected. Back to low flow flush

Replaced old Korky valves in three toilets because the flow was over 4 gallons per flush rather than 1.6 gpf. New Fluidmaster vales work exactly as advertised - toilets are now under 1.6 gpf.

Rubber connections

The rubber connection between the tank and the bowl was leaking water. I had to buy another rubber ring to keep it from leaking.

Replaced internals of two of my toilets. Plumber wanted $300 a toilet, I did the job for $25 a toilet. Great product so far, super easy to install.

Really is complete

There is every part that you might need. Unlike the other major brand sold by Lowes, when you press the handle you don't have to hold it till the flush does it job. The large plastic nut below the drain assembly should be a little more robust. I was afraid to tighten it too much otherwise it might break. As a result I had a slight leak that drained water into the bowl. I could hear it cycle once or twice a day. It was the guest room bath that isn't used much. I took it apart, greased the rubber...

Needs work

I know from my years in plumbing that Fluidmaster is a well-known plumbing provider but in this case, the float kept getting stuck. Lucky me, the float got stuck and leaked all night just leaking over and through the flush handle, down under the toilet, and into the light in my kitchen. Be very careful with this.

Works great and fixed!

It does pretty much what it says; fixes any toilet problem in the tank anyways. Simple install, don't get caught up in the instructions for standpipe too much, just compare to old one and go from there. Use a fine tooth saw to cut, I used pvc cutter; worked, but may break on some people. Be careful.

Expect high water bills.

Tried this product twice on both toilets. Works fine for a few months then starts to leak around the flapper seal. I used this product on both toilets and same issue of leaking in 2-3 months on both toilets. This is my second and last try with Fluidmaster products. Going to go back to Korky and try their universal kit.

Easy

This was very easy to install, comes with clear instructions. A video also to help. And now I A toilet repaired by me. How cool is that. A lady at the age of 63 did this and so can you. great buy

So far so good

Used this to change everything in my toilet tank. Read the instructions...my tank had three screws. The instructions tell you to reuse the screw and bolts, however they do give you an extra set of washers for your screw. Flushing is awesome. My wife and kids like that the toilet they use most doesn't run all the time.

Twisted Flapper Valve

Installation is easy for an American Standard Toilet. However, the ring of the flapper came twisted and does not seal properly causing the toilet to run every 15 minutes. Poor QA.
