Just out of packaging...

I just opened pruner and see the tip doesn't meet at top. For most cuts this isn't likely a problem, but it times I do need that precision. I replaced my old pruner, buying this more expensive option. I did expect it would work for all needs, so somewhat disappointed. I read on other reviews about spring coming out and nut coming loose, so I will check after each use, for any maintenance.

Spring in the middle

Would Not Recommend

I think the crazy part is they have a spring in the middle and it falls out an then they aren't worn out but they will not work anymore. I have had to take them back, got another pair, and the second pair had the spring fall out as well. I like the clippers but I have to look for another style maybe something without a spring.

Fiskars ultrasharp pruner

Would Not Recommend

I was looking forward to the Fiskars pruner, based on our great experience with many Fiskars cutters. The cutters easily come apart for easy sharpening, and they are capable cutters. The one drawback is that the blade tip opens up from home about 1/8" after one cut. This renders the tip end of the pruners useless for close cutting small growth and branches. For that alone I wouldn't recommend these to my friends.

No better tool around Flower Beds

Would Recommend

This is my second Fiskar Pruner, the first one was a little smaller but the quality is what made me buy a second one. This one handles up to one inch branches and works wonders when working around the flower beds and bushes in the yard. My wife has taken over the smaller one, but both get used quite a lot and the Fiskar quality is there.

great pruner!

Would Recommend

This is a really great tool. I've used it to prune very thick branches with ease. Comfortable grip. Good locking mechanism. I would purchase these again.

Sharp

Would Recommend

The Fiskars UltraSharp Steel Bypass Hand Pruner are very sturdy and the handles were very comfortable. They cut through the branches quite easily with just a bit more effort needed for the larger ones. The biggest problem I encountered is with the orange clip that "locks" them closed. If I angled vertically to cut, the clip slid down and locked closed. Made it very difficult to prune above my head without using a step ladder. Also, when I set them down on the gardening table, the clip didn't hol...

Nice tool. Durable. Simple to use.

Would Recommend

Pruning shears worked well to trim a few dead branches off my tree. Safety class is a great feature and durable. Usually these classes are cheap and don’t stay secured in place.

Great handheld pruner!

Would Recommend

My old pruners wore out and some yucca and shrubs needed some touch-ups. These did just the job! Easy to operate, with minimal hand-strength necessary. Cut through several small branches up to an 1” in thickness with little effort. Blades released easily while cutting, and the cuts were clean and not ragged. Look forward to using them again. Also, the safety lock is easy to operate and know when its engaged.

Great upgrade over typical pruners

Would Recommend

I enjoy using these pruners compared to typical/standard pruners. They feel like a quality tool. The blade is very sharp and cuts with ease. They have a wide reach (1") for bigger branches. The spring mechanism is smooth and the lock is easy to reach. The orange on the handle is non-slip but is only one the one side. The other side that is black is just smooth plastic and not as grippy. I wish it had the orange non-slip on both sides, but it's not enough of a minor con to even remove one star. G...

Convenient little hand pruner

Would Recommend

I'm glad I have this pruner. It allows me to routinely prune the smaller trees and bushes in my yards. Although it advertises that it can trim branches up to one inch in diameter, I don't personally trim branches that size with this. But otherwise it's perfect for most branches smaller than that. Has great grip and small enough to store pretty much anywhere. This is the perfect tool to have for rose bushes, large potted plants, gardens, and trimming small to medium shrubs. Great for keeping shru...

Ultra sharp allows for easy, one-handed operation! Very easy trigger-pull! Ergonomic hand grip allows for long-time usage when there’s a lot to trim! Up to 3/4” branches.

A Lightweight but Powerful Pruner

Would Recommend

The Fiskars pruner is ultra-sharp and easy to handle with its heavy metal blades and softer plastic handle coverings. It has a locking mechanism that will keep the jaws closed when not used. It claims to cut up to 1" but if the branches are not soft wood it will be difficult to cut with one hand. I didn't have any problems cutting lesser diameter wood branches and twigs. This new Fiskars pruner has a lifetime warranty and is built better than some of the previous Fiskars products I've used. Al...

Keep fingers clear!!

Would Recommend

This bypass hand pruner is a heavy-duty well constructed tool with a durable sharp blade that makes clean cuts. It will definitely keep-up with the best of them. The issue I had was when removing from the packaging the return-to-open spring fell out. I've had this kind of problem with other similar design, not a problem if you don't loose the spring. All in all this is a quality set of cutters and will be used with my other cutting arsenal.

Love these

Would Recommend

Love these, very nice quality product. Word of advice, never skimp on pruners! I've had quite a few pairs in my gardening career. These are top of my list at this price point. Not as good as Felcos, but very nice. Work very well for home gardening as well as commercial work.

easily handled...

Would Recommend

I use my pruners on an almost daily basis. These were a definite upgrade from my last pair and the few extra cents were a good investment. I cut a lot of different things, live and dead wood/plants and they cut through it all with ease. The blade lock is in a great location and worked well, not engaging on its own or put in a place that it gets hit and locks itself like my last two pair did. The handles are comfortable and easy to bear down on to cut some good sized limbs. Ultra sharp blade...
