Examine the spring mechanism before purchase
Would Not RecommendI bought one pair, thought it defective and returned it for a replacement. This has the same problem and will be returned as well. There is a spring that goes from one side of the pruner handle to the other side which makes the pruner open. The problem is that the spring is not anchored on either side so that if the too sides go fully apart, the spring pops out and falls to the ground. This makes it unusable. Would Not RecommendI need to return this pruner. It does not retract back open after the prune or deadhead. So you literally have to pull the handles apart to open the pruner. Each time you cut, you need to open the handles. This item wasn't cheap, I hope to get the word out so no one else makes this bad purchase!

Cuts well but...
I purchased a pair of these about 2 weeks ago and was finally able to have some free time to cut some limbs. It worked well and was able to cut anything I put between the jaws, but after a few cuts I noticed the spring shot out into the yard and has disappeared. For a product that is supposed to last a long time, I am not happy or satisfied with this product and how long it did not last under normal usage.
