Extremely Frustrated

I bought this last fall and the second time I used it the blade snapped. I have been trying to find a replacement blade, but have not had any luck. It is now useless and taking up space in my garage, since I can't figure out how to dispose of an item this size.

Love this pruner-saw!!!!

Bought this used from an elderly woman whose husband died. I am an 81 year old woman with bad knees. This tool is fantastic!!! I have many trees in my yard. Over 100 trees. I can prune most of them with this tool . My only question is the rope that is used to pull the pruner. Is there a way to wind it on something to keep it out of the way when using the saw? My husband thinks that you should be able to wrap it around the handle but it is a puzzle for me. Any suggestions?

Would not recommend

I recently had my second issue with this product. Similar to another person's experience, the "rope" mechanism continuously got jammed during use and the exterior layers of the rope deteriorated and the rope was down to a thin string that recently completely snapped during use. I would not recommend this product as I found I was always fixing jams so my time was not used efficiently.

Nice in a pinch

I like that it is fairly easy to use and takes little maintenance. The only issue is there a bit of a learning curve and takes some practice to use it efficiently.

I don't know what all these bad reviews are about, I've had mine for At least 7 or 8 years now and it's held up great. Hasn't been the blade does not get all easily. At least none that I've used. I mean I've had to replace them after a while but it does an amazing job and I put it through the ringer! Effective for light duty tree pruning & sawing

I bought this for the saw blade, but ended up using the rope-pull pruner more. The saw blade is somewhat flimsy (thin), but it does work - albeit slowly. I sawed one 3-4" branch and pruned many 1" branches. The pruner works very well.

dull, easily bent blade and cheap plastic pulleys

used to prune 2 trees and it did not go well. The saw blade is incredibly thin and surprisingly dull even on first use. Going through a 3" branch took forever and the blade bound several times. By the 3rd branch the blade had a small bend in it from binding so much. I cut one 5" branch and it took me a good 20 minutes - it was exhausting. Great for Crape Myrtles!!!!

After watching a video on how to properly prune a Crape Myrtle I saw the need for a Pole Saw. I figured something like this would cost perhaps a few hundred dollars. Value for money

I like this pruning saw as I was able to cut 3" thick branches at reasonable height with very little effort. I found it easier to use as compare to chainsaw especially when I work on 10-12' high branches.
