Would RecommendI bought this lopper because I had used a borrowed one from my brother and after using his for a few hours, I was very tired and sored all over. I bought this one because the ease to use and the comfort; glad I did, it does what it says it does and I wasn't as sore and tired as before. It also cuts larger branches easier. The larger handles makes it easier to grab and hold the lopper in place. I am pleased with it.

23.5-in Steel Compound Bypass Lopper
Would Not Recommendtool is very sharp and cuts some fairly good size limbs but is difficult to use because of how much you must open the handles to get jaw around a limb. Seems to me a better advantage could have been used

Lightweight and plenty of cutting power. My other pruners were old (circa 20+ years) these work 100 times better than my old wood ones! I'd like it better if the handles extended.

Great Tools
Would RecommendThis tool does what the packaging says. I used it to remove a large juniper hedge. Any branch that the jaw would cover, It cut with ease. And there were some large branches. Great tool!

Sturdy, serious lopping shears
Would RecommendThe FISKARS lopping shears with the geared pivot and bypass blade are built to do the job. They do require a wide spread of the hands to open the shears wide enough to take care of a thick branch, but there's a lot less effort (than other style loppers) when squeezing the handles closed to make the cut.. It's probably a good idea to keep the shears maintained (cleaned after use to remove sap and grunge, and an occasional oiling of the moving parts) so they will last a long time. The sticker on t...

Gets the job done as advertised.
Would RecommendI had some burning bushes that needed trimming that were too thick for pruning shears so I decided to buy the Fiskars Lopper. I am more than satisfied with the results. The item is rated as being able to cut 2 inch diameter branches and I had quite a few of those in the subject bushes and it handled them with ease. The only slight problem with using the lopper was sometimes getting in between branches that had grown close together; but even that was relatively easy to overcome. My wife agrees...

Cuts like a knife through butter.
Would RecommendGreat tool. Excellent mechanical design allows you to cut through 1-1/2" branches with very little effort. Easy on the arms and shoulders. This tool is a must for every tool shed.

No pleased , returned item
Would Not RecommendYou need to spread the handle almost full open to clip the smallest branch . There usually isn't room to do that if you're reaching in to prune. It was also difficult to get the jaws on a branch, kind of hard to steer with the handles wide open and standing on a ladder. Almost $50 dollars was expecting more ease of use. The only good thing was the blade cut well.

Lopper
Would RecommendThis is my second set as the first had been used so much that sharpening had caused the cutting blade to not quite close completely. Old set still works on big stuff but not the small due to the gap.

A great lopper.
Would RecommendI bought this lopper because I had used a similar one volunteering for the forest preserve. This is a really good lopper. It cuts branches up to two inches thick with almost no trouble. Although it is a little heavy, it is worth it for the good job it does.

Cuts like a laser beam
Would RecommendThe Fiskar bypass lopper works very well, it will cut a 2" limb with little effort, the hardened steel cutting edge stays sharp for the long haul. The gear action provides great mechanical advantage to make limb cutting easy.

cutting edge bent
Would Not RecommendAfter only 5 minutes of use the cutting edge bent when I tried to cut a limb about 1.5 inches. Took it back and got another brand/type.

Lopper has the leverage
Would RecommendI was shortening hedges that had not seen clippers in years. After breaking my hedge trimmer on the 1" branches, I got this lopper for working the rest by hand. The job took three more hours, the lopper gears -- not just the length of the handles -- did all the work, and I was not sore the next day. Good tool.

Solid Tool
Would RecommendThe loppers are the real deal. They cost a few bucks more but handle thick branches with ease. I was pleasantly surprised when I was able to lop through a 3-inch diameter branch. It allowed me to hand them off to my wife to finish the job. :-)
