Great Cutting Strength, Low Durability

I picked up the fiskars 32 inch Steel bypass lopper about 8 months ago. I didnt use it alot due to the fact that i lived in an apt. and used it for the palms that would stick out into the driveway. It broke on me the other day when i was "lopping" off some branches. The blade snapped and a big chunk is now missing . im going to test the lifetime warranty guarantee and ill comment again as to the result. Other than that this is a great product and easy to cut big stuff with ease !!!!

I have used this product few times now. It is very easy to use.The only thing I notice that there is minor defect in the part which is used for the cutting purpose the reason I gave 4 start for the quality.

Needed something bigger than my hand trimmer

I have lots of small to medium sized trees and some easy to reach limbs were too big for my hand trimmer so after researching bought and used this past week. It worked better than expected on my crepe myrtles. Cut through them very easy. In tight spots, as a read sometimes a challenge to get it open enough to go around the branch but no a big deal. I was very happy with my selection.

Broken blade - recommended with reservations

I liked the design of the Fiskar Loppers, with the gears that provide better leverage than other loppers, but they are heavy and require more space to allow the jaws to open sufficiently. Not practical for cramped areas. I purchased this pair 11 months ago, used them several times during the spring. Good experience with problem resolution

After trimming up several trees the blade chipped while cutting an oak branch. Contacted Fiskars online and a free replacement blade is supposed to be on the way.

Easiest lopper I have ever used.

Even cutting two inch branched was easy, almost like cutting butter with a hot knife.

I don't often write product reviews, but felt compelled to do so in this case. The first time that I used these shears, the blade crumbled on the first cut! I was cutting a branch about 1.25 inches in diameter and the edge of the cutting blade was completely broken after the cut. I can only assume that the blade was incorrectly tempered. Used my dads while helping him in his yard. I liked it so much, I went out and bought my own. Retired my old pruner.

This is the second fiskar product I have bought and I will buy more if I ever need them, the clipper are very easy to use and extremely well designed.

Best Lopper Used

I have used several different loppers in the past with all the same design. This lopper has got to be the best I have ever used. The gears make cutting easier even on some of the toughest branches where the traditional style loppers would bind down. It made short work of the trees with very little effort.

Heavy, But Cuts Branches Like Butter

I bought this to clear out some young trees and overgrown bushes on my property. The tool works great and cuts through branches with very little exertion. The metal curved guide helps keep the limb in place while the cutting action takes place. That being said, using the tool can feel awkward as the handles are mostly hollow so all the weight of the tool is at the tip, putting strain on your wrists as you reach out for some of the hard-to-get cuts. Fiskar lopping shears

This is a superior product! It cuts through saplings, etc. with ease. The geared"whatever" really work. The only negative I have with this product is that because of the gears, it takes more room to open the cutting part. This means that you will have some difficulty getting the shears open wide enough in crowded spaces. Once the shears are in place, they cut like a dream.

So Far So Good

Used the tool once to cut a bush in front of the house. Worked as expected. The bush stems run from penny size to about quarter size. The larger stems required a little more effort; as would be expected, but the cut was made. Because the tool is new and seems to be very sharp; next time I don't know? I will say, I was lucky. I had checked the Lowes.com site. The price was listed at $34.98 but when I went to the store it was on sale so I paid $27.98. That was good.

Have used Fiskars products for years and never have been disappointed. Well made and long lasting even after very hard use.

I've used others but this is without a doubt the best. Weight might be a problem for some but this tool will cut anything in it's way easily without effort!
