Exactly what is says, it does.

Love the fact I don’t have to put any fluids in this thing. Quiet and strong. But like it says, nothing over 6 inches will be cut, so you have to keep your grass in check. Other than that, I am happy with the purchase.

Great mower as long as expectations are in check.

Well built and sturdy, Fiskars made a solid reel mower. Cuts great as long as you stay on top of your weekly mowing. As with most reel mowers weeds will not get cut as they tend to get knocked down. Easy maintenance. Overall I would recommend if you have a small yard with minimal weeds.

Awesome push mower!

This is the easiest push mower I’ve ever used. It is perfect for a small yard. No more gas can and engine maintenance for the little bit of mowing I need to do.

Keep the limitations in mind

This, all in all, is a great mower. It's quiet, sharp, and mows my suburban lawn easily. It's not perfect for everyone, though. This doesn't cut grass that's grown really high, it leaves really high sprigs behind. You need to keep up with your grass mowing with this, otherwise you will work yourself to the bone. Good mower but don't expect miracles.

Pros: Cuts well. No noise. No gas/oil. Always starts. Cons: Will not cut tall grass. You must keep up with the mowing or your grass will get above the mower's limit and no amount of cutting will ever get it. The amateur engineer in me is concocting a device to extend its height. Too bad the rear wheels cannot be raised like the front ones; it would extend the cutting range considerably. Small twigs will stop it cold. As advertised it uses scissor action which is very different than a power mow...

Front wheel bracket bent

Unboxed and used for the first time thinking this mower isn't doing a very good job. The mower was much harder to push than the reviews had claimed and the cut missed about an eighth of the grass. After some inspection I noticed the front wheel not rolling freely, front wheel support was bent. Appears quality control at the factory isn't doing a very good job. The box had no sign of damage and the bent arm almost looked like it was made for another product.

Perfect mower for the perfect conditions

This reel lawn mower is perfect for small, flat, well-kept yards. I'm able to mow my entire front/back yard with this mower in less time and nearly the same physical effort as with my 5hp Craftsman self-propelled lawn mower. No more gas, oil, pull-choke push, turn and wrestle. The Fiskars reel mower is easy to use and does the job in the right conditions.

Did not work in a 20' x 20' yard

Does a poor job cutting my 20' x 20' yard. I suspect that the system used, which does not have metal on metal cutting contact, requires more speed then I can generate. I had high hopes, but will order an electric one from someone else. Since I am outside the 30 day return period for outdoor equipment (it took time for the grass to grow), I am looking for somewhere to dump it.

Piece o’ Junk

Hadn’t even cut 30’ of grass yet when the entire blade locked up. No stick, no pine come, not even a piece o’ mulch. Blade just hits the reel. There is really almost ZERO tolerance between the two, so ANY movement in the blade and it’s going to hit. Fiskars only recommended solution is to FILE THE BLADE DOWN! I kid you not, that’s what the manual says.

Awesome!

Great product. Mowed my lawn 4 times. Clean cuts. Easy to push. Cutting at about 1.5 inches high. Bermuda lawn. I noticed it will not cut weeds taller than 5 inches. So weed control is a must. Not recommended if you don’t cut at least once a week. I may have to sell my gas mower.

Worst mowerever

Had this piece of junk for 2 years as my wife bought it for me has practically led to a divorce cuts nothing at 3" This is a review from a guy who used to love yard work

No motorize

Good push mower. It takes effort. Won't cut dandelions. Need trimmer. Can't get too low or it won't move. No noise, environmental friendly

High Quality modern reel mower

Reel mower is nothing like the rusty ones of the past. Gearing creates extra spin as you walk briskly. Cutting style results in no need to sharpen the reel. Design results in a smooth walk with adjustable height settings. As with any reel mower need to clear the yard of twigs if you're cutting low to avoid the dreaded sudden stop. Great quality typical of Fiskars build.

Surprisingly simple!

It took me less than ten minutes to put this lawnmower together and get it out in the yard! I was skeptical as to how well it would work, but with a little trial with the height adjustment, the lawn turned out great!

Minor problems

I replaced an older Fiskar. The new one works as well as the older one, BUT. The assembly directions are not as clear as the ones for the previous mower, making it more difficult to assemble the handle. I ended up putting it together backwards twice. Also, the bolts to hold the handle pieces and the plate together are too short. They barely hold it, and the handle is loose. I saved the bolts from the old mower and will use those instead. Well built and effective

Very easy to assemble. Only need to attach the handle bar. This mower is well built and feels strong. Learning the cutting technique takes a little bit of time, but once understood mowing is not difficult. If you have an uneven lawn like me, it's all about adjusting the cut height and learning how to tilt the mower while you walk.
