This hatchet is scary sharp.

This hatchet is very, very sharp. It instills fear when you hold it, because if you're not careful you will absolutely injure yourself. The handle is firm and sturdy. Comes with a locking sheath which is a great feature. Able to hang it in a safe elevated position from either sheath or handle. Costs a bit more than traditional hatchets, but so far I'm very pleased.

Well worth it

This is a perfectly weighted hatchet and really does the job. Blade is sharp enough to cut through even the densest of limbs…err, tree limbs… and such. And with previous purchases, I was always worried about leaving traces of the job behind, but not so with this product. Cleanup’s a breeze! Simply submerge it in bleach for an hour or two, and it’s like yesterday never happened.

Won't Even Split a Soft Pine Log!!

I purchased this item because I have an identical one that I purchased several years ago. I am extremely happy with the one that I've been using for years. Today, I tried to use the one I just purchase online and it is so dull that it won't even split a soft pine log. When I tried to submit an online Customer Service request to Fiskers Brands, Inc., the website would not accept my info and errored out. Totally dissatisfied!!!

Good for wood

Pretty good. Nice and sharp. Good for cutting stuff.

Making Kindling

I purchased this item to complement my larger wood splitting equipment. Easy to use to make smaller kindling from my wood. Also convenient to chop small things. One should resist holding the lumber to split, which is more possible with a smaller tool such as this.

Works well!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great hatchet! It works well. My favorite feature is the carrying handle as I can attach it to the wall or hold it easily. It could use more grip on the handle you hold while in use, but is fine as is.

Perfectly compact

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I never knew I needed a hatchet until I had one in my hands. Sometimes and ask him be overkill. The smaller hatchet makes her a lot more feasibility and getting into tighter spaces. It’s not as heavy as an ax obviously which allows for greater swing and force. I also like that it comes with a guard for storage.

Perfect for my Backpack

Super sharp and chops great. I keep it in my riding backpack to clear fallen debris on trails and its perfect for that. The fact that is cuts so fast and efficiently helps save valuable energy needed for riding, definitely recommend to others.

Light, balanced, cuts well. Works great at cutting off weird edges on wood. Great tool to have nearby if cutting down trees or chopping firewood.

Nice hatchet for the price

The blade is made of a high quality steel and holds an edge very well. The handle is made from a composite material and is just about indestructible. All in all, this is a great hatchet and meets my needs very well.

Nice product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great hatchet. Lightweight comfortable grip. Weight in the correct places. The head is nice and sharp and comes with a safety cover for storage. Definitely recommend. Will come in handy for chopping up yard debris.

Not Sharp as sold.

Hatchet is okay but you need to know that it is sold in an unsharpened condition. Buy it and you will need to sharpen it before using - disappointed.

Nice tool

He seems to be well made and pretty balanced for what it is. It is also pretty Sharp. Tried it on some small Limbs and works great. Overall satisfied with it and seems to be pretty sturdy.

Sturdy and durable

Helpful hatchet
