Works good!

Great quality and peace of mind. I installed this a few weeks ago and im impressed. Set up was super simple just mount and power on. The voice alerts are clear and the carbon monoxide and smoke detection are a huge win in my books, Love how it blend into the ceiling too!

Easy install, nice unit

Very easy to install, it even used the same connector type as the alarms I was replacing. As soon as I powered it up it started speaking (in English, but with an option for Spanish) to guide me through the setup process. It also came with wirenuts and an adapter for what I assume is another standard smoke detector connector, which is a nice touch.

Great upgrade from your old smoke alarms

Great new unit. Easy to install, has an app and can link to google home services. Very clear instructions that guides you through the installation of the hardware and software. I will be updating the rest of the home now.

Smart smoke & CO2 detector

The First Alert SC5 smart smoke and carbon monoxide alert are a great addition to any connected smart home. My previous smart detectors had reached their end of life and these were a good update. The app was easy to navigate and add multiple units and name them. Testing the alarm is simple through the app as well - weekly testing is advised and easy. Multiple wiring harnesses are included, they're nearly plug and play. I have only had these installed a couple of weeks but no problems so far.

Great upgrade for fire/co2 alarms!

We love the upgrade of these fire alarms! There's a lot of security knowing that you'll get the alerts on your phone if something happens when you're not home! But even if you don't attach them to your phone, they're superior alarms. Hardwired with a backup battery is the safest, best way to go. the design is super simple and easy to install. Do Not Buy- False Alarms

First Alert has not figured out smart wifi smoke detectors. This one started giving false alarms 4 months after installation. I also had their prior version of the smart smoke detector, which also gave false alarms in the first month. When they discontinued that prior one and came out with this one over a year later, I was hopeful the fixed the issues. This is a great smart detector. The alarm is loud. I like that it tells you how much carbon monoxide is detected and connects to the app. It’s sleek and looks modern to boot.

These are great. You can wire them but in places where that's not possible, you can use the battery. Setup is easy with the app and you can monitor everything from your phone.

Neat device with connection issues

This thing is packed with lots of cool features, like giving a count down before alarm and sending updates to your phone. Unfortunately, the device has had connection issues to the WiFi or app, and I had to factory reset it twice in a month to get a good connection. I haven't had any false alarms like others were stating, but I get updates on the app whenever it drops connection, then it reconnected about 10 minutes later each time. Nice replacement for the old ones!

The old ones were taken off when I repainted and net put back because they looked so out of place. These nice looking ones fits the color way perfectly and function as intended. Straight forward installation. Looking great and I can rest assured that the family is protected.

Great fire and C/D sensor. Easy app set up!

I wasn’t sure how easily this would be to install and wire in but I was pleasantly surprised! Once you have the app downloaded everything works perfectly! I would highly recommend this to anyone putting together their “smart home”

This smoke/CO detector looks and feels sturdy, durable and well made with quality materials. I ordered the battery powered detector because it is easier for me to install and it comes with the batteries and all materials for installation. This smart smoke and CO detector offers excellent peace of mind. I really like the ability to receive notifications when I’m away from home, and the option to mute the alarm from the app is a huge improvement over waving a towel to clear the air. Junk and customer service is horrible

These things are terrible. They set off if they have not been cleaned once a month, giving false alarms. and continue to alarm even after silencing. Then, when you call to get help and complain about the product, you are told that the call will be cut off. These things are garbage!!!!

This combination smoke and CO detector is easy to install (assuming the wiring is in place already.) The connnections matched what is installed in my house and came with a number of connectors to adapt to a number of connection situations. It is sleek an unassuming. Setting it up was a breeze though the location where I installed it above the curving stairs made holding the center button for 10s a bit difficult, but that is a me problem. Good replacement for Nest

Easy Install. Good replacement for Nest smoke / co detector. Only thing it's missing is the nightlight feature that the Nest had and it is also a little more expensive than the Nest but overall good implementation and easy installation and set up via the app.

typical first alert junk.

worst smoke detector I've seen in my 30 year career as a master electrician. don't fall for any of their lying responses. 6 false alarms in 7 months.
