General note to others who purchase the product. Be sure to install the batteries in the product even if you have it plugged in. Otherwise it will continually beep.

Would RecommendWorked great when plugging it in, plug is a bit inconvenient, as it covers up both plugs on a double plug. It DOES have a pull out plug, but we didn't want to wall mount it or sit it on the counter.

Good product with a really short cord.
I bought it because it checks for propane, natural gas and carbon monoxide. It has a very short cord so placing it on the ceiling as instructed has not been possible. I also have 10 foot ceilings. Cord is still too short for an 8 foot ceiling.
