Would Not RecommendConstant false alarms - as in the entire house erupting into noise and chaos, usually in the middle of the night but sometimes in the middle of my work (from home) meetings. If we change the battery, then the alarms usually stop. It's to the point my kids don't even get out of bed when the alarms go off any more. Definitely looking to replace, but it seems most alarms have negative reviews.

Haven't had a home fire so not sure if it works...
I hope it works. I haven't had a fire so I really can't tell you if it's good or bad.

Dual detector, ionization and photoelectric
Would RecommendIf you have hardwired detector, this is a good one to get. I hope we never really have to use it, but it’s nice to know that since they are interconnected, if one goes off, they will all sound (all 3 floors). It has ionization and photoelectric detectors so good for smoky and non-smoky fires.

Open the box and look at the product before buying
We are happy with the product so far, however, when we opened our 9 smoke detector boxes we found that 4 of them were previously used and returned, and of the other 5, one was defective. Only 4 out of the 9 smoke detectors were usable. This was a huge hassle and even worse; a HUGE safety issue!!

Easy Smoke detector swap out.
Would RecommendEasy swap out of existing hardwired smoke detector. Needed 7 total so purchased this along with a 6 pack. Was able to use my previous hardwire connector as it was identical to the old one.

Best Smoke Alarm
Would RecommendI believe this is the best smoke alarm on the market. It has both a photo and ion sensors, it is hardwired to building AC power, has AA battery backup, and a combination test and hush button. Easy to install and comes with a disposable plastic cover to protect the sensors until construction dust and dirt is no longer present. AC wiring pigtail and AA batteries are included! This is my third set of these smoke alarms in my house; I replace them every 10 years, as recommended.

Don’t do it!
Bought six at one Lowes and when I got home saw they all had batteries in, were beeping and had obviously been returned. I took them to another store, returned them and looked for new ones. Guess what? Same thing. All were opened, all had been returned.

Extremely hard to open and close battery compartme
I returned my first one, thinking it was defective. Went back to the store, opened a second one, and had the same problem. An employee showed me that you had to pry the battery compartment open with a screwdriver and them pry it again to close it. And that's BEFORE putting in the optional locking pins, which make it even more impossible to open and close the battery compartment. Considering that this smoke alarm is hard wired into the ceiling, I thought I would kill myself trying the change the ...

Dual detector: photoelectric and ionization
Would RecommendI chose this detector because they have dual sensors. This is very important if you want to have the best protection. The good news in they all went in like clockwork--no issues. I had to wire in each one because the old 120 volt connector was different from the new one. But that was not a problem at all. It probably took 10 minutes for each one. Once installed, I tested each one and they all sounded off exactly as they should (interconnected). And the even better news: I haven't had a s...
