Manufacturing Defect in Some Units

I purchased several of these and found a solder "tail" on the tops of the wire pigtail connector pins, which would not allow the pigtail to be plugged into the connector. I had to use a small soldering iron to clean the terminals, while cleaning the iron constantly on a wet sponge. It's hard to say how the manuafacturing process would leave solder on the terminals. good in kitche area

purchased 2 of these for our duplex due to the fact that other fire alarms were very sensitive anytime something was cooked. Very frustrating a friend of mine told me about these so I purchased them and I am very happy with them. No more alarms going off for something like the toaster. Would recommend these to anyone who has this issue.

False alarms, on over half of those purchased

Want to go crazy? Then get these, and let your kids become completely freaked out by smoke detectors and be delighted to wake up a half dozen times during the middle of the night to spend time finding the alarm that has false alarmed. I replaced units, and then had those also start false alarming! I feel terrible, having blasted my kids eardrums out on you many occasions. Had this since 10/2018. Several middle of the night false alarms which is beyond unacceptable for a product that is less than a year old. Run away. I will never install another from them.

Simply put the electrician highly recommended this choice to replace my broken smoke alarm.

Easy to install. Seems to be working as expected. Unfortunately the only way to know for sure is to have it alert you to a real fire. I hope that never happenes.

3120B Smoke Alarm

Easy replacement of current hardwire units. All parts were in the box, including the AA batteries. So far the units look fine and work fine and I would buy again. Only rated a four based on the AA battery backup, while better than 9V battery (imo), I would like to see the scone with a 10 year battery.

Good protection, easy install.

Purchased because of the dual sensors which provide for a wider range of protection. Installation was easy, and it comes with name brand alkaline batteries, not the cheap mercury type that are usually provided which don't last. I've already recommended it to my daughter for her home.

Purchased 4 of these to replace existing smoke detectors. Easy to install since the existing wire was a compatible wire to plug directly into the back of the alarm. However, the rings were smaller so I had to replace all of those to mount the detectors. No screws came with the ring mounts. These are interconnected so when one goes off it triggers all of them to go off, if your wiring is set up that way. The batteries install from the side so you don't have to remove the alarm to replace batt...
