So far working fine.
Would RecommendAfter years of disapointment with the "10 year battery" smoke detectors I am trying the old fashion battery model. The batteries may last 10 years but the detectors malfunction at about 2 years. So here we are. fingers crossed.

Check the manufacture dates on your existing alarm
Would RecommendMoved into our house in 2023, and only recently discovered that the 3 detectors should have been replaced in 2005, which meant they were installed (manufactured) in 1995; now 20 years past their life expectancy. They were both BRK detectors, so I got direct replacements. The mounting ring had changed in 30 years, but that was no problem to replace, and the existing hardwiring was still compatible.

Large flange base
Large enough base flange to cover the area left by the old smoke detector. Nice product.
