Would Not RecommendBought 4 of these from Lowe’s to replace 4 hardwired ones that were 20 yrs old. However it’s been 1 week since installing them, pretty easy to install but we noticed at night especially the units will flash a bright green light onto ceiling and floor about 6 inches every 5 mins or so. Our 12 yr old cat and dog are terrified of this and it must omit a noise / sound too, that bothers them. We thought the green light would only be a small one showing unit is on, that is not the case. Replaced Smoke Alarms with 10 yr battery ones!
Would RecommendMy smoke alarm was chirping 3 chirps at 4:30AM. I changed the battery but it did not stop the chirping. I had to replace the alarm. My condo requires only 1 CO detector with Smoke Alarm so these units were great and I got the contractor pack and saved money. These were compatible with my First Alert smoke alarms. I did have to buy separate CO and Smoke combo.

Must Install on Mount Before It Works
Would RecommendI had to call the manufacturer to find out that it would not react to the test button unless it was installed on the mount. A big bold notice on the box would have helped. Easy to install otherwise.
