Purchased because of potential hurricane weather and power outages. Did not have use,but it was ready!

Perfect

We bought it during Hurricane Laura while out of power for over 3 days in The Louisiana heat. All tool for minimal assembly included. Within 45 minutes we had it off the truck, unpacked, assembled and running. Cranked on first attempt. Easily runs frigs, freezers, window unit fans and TV.

Great generator!

I did recommend this to a friend and they purchased one for their Montana 5th Wheel. The Propane shutoff was the biggest con. I had to loosen the screw to get the knob to turn off. However, it was minor as Propane is more expansive the Gas at the moment. Will address that with CS when I get a chance.

Great generator

Only had test runs so far so cannot comment. But unit was smooth, great output and not too loud.

Change your directions, please!

I bought this at Lowe’s. I tried for one afternoon to start the generator using propane. Nothing worked. I changed tanks I took the battery out checked the battery nothing seemed to make this generator work. Held the electric start button in for three seconds or more nothing happened it never turned over. I was very mad. More than we expected!

We've had the unit a little over a year and done nothing but the monthly exercise cycle. Then we lost power for 3 days. Except for the brief flicker when something being cycled on (and the noise* of course), we forgot we were on a generator. *Quieter than the other units around. Read the manual AND follow all the directions and it will work well for you too.

Happy so far

Almost bought the Caterpillar 6500 watt unit for the same price. Happy I didn’t. This one weighs slightly more and delivers substantially more power and is dual fuel. The thing you have to watch out for with all them is your wiring. If everything isnt wired with the same polarity you will throw a breaker. Once you reverse a few wires everything is happy. I have it running my central AC and several other things. Would rather not have to rely on a generator given I have paid into the grid, ...

I wouldn't buy this again

The weight is such that putting the wheels on is a challenge, and even with wheels it is a challenge to move. It is very loud for use as an emergency power source within a city neighborhood

Ready to go out of the box

I have not used yet, although I did start it and left running for 2 hours with no charge, the noise besides the Gen is 74dB as described in the manual, battery came charged and started with no problem, very easy assembly, ready to go out of the box, did measure the output on every port and Voltage and Current are VERY stable.

Would buy again and will recommend to others.

Easy to set up, starts easily

Haven't needed it yet, but feel ready for the next hurricane down in South Florida. Electrician coming by on Monday to set up the Transfer Switch, so I will be able to power 2 window units, fridge, freezer and well pump/filter. Nice piece of equipment.

I can't believe we never had a generator before.

We have had cabin 6 miles out on a lake in northern Minnesota. When there are storms we can loose power and the outage can last hours or days. Having the dual fuel helps extend the run time. Since I set it up two weeks ago we have had to use it twice. I still need to figure out all the cords I need but that will come ..Great unit and run smooth and fairly quiet.

Generator works but extremely loud.

I will use this to power my refrigerator and a few other circuits in our home in Northern CA during PG&E psps events (power outages) by hooking it into a 50A input box connected to a manual transfer switch. The unit arrived in great shape and was easy to set up. I am using it with a 30lbs propane tank. Standby unit

Unit was well packaged from the retailer. Instructions for setup were clear and informative. This standby unit is oiled but not yet fueled and thus has not been used or run at this time. Three star rating at this point(since not run yet) but there is not doubt it is a five star product. I would highly recommend this product to others.

Great home emergency generator. Starts instantly on both fuels. Works great.

I would buy again

Overall it is a great package for a relatively new comer to the portable generator industry. I, think the eight gallon fuel (gasoline) tank along with the capability to use propane as well is a welcome flexibility for anybody in need of a generator. Great Customer service is part of the package too. Generator updates/ improvements are based on customers input/ review.
