Generator is a Beast

I purchased two 7500 watt generators to use as household backups to replace an old Craftsman and Homelite generator. My first impression out of the box is this is everything I wanted for a household backup. Well built, sturdy, control panel is clean and neat, rubber covers for outlets. One big selling feature is the 50 amp outlet. I can't wait to loose power!

Great product, solid design and manufacturing

Great product, solid design and manufacturing--assembly was easy and straight forward. Wrenches are included. I added oil, but had some trouble for the oil plug to properly grab and thread in. With some luck the oil plug seated properly. Added gasoline and the generator started within a few seconds (electric start). Thereafter I ran the generator propane and it ran great. On the initial run the generator smelled some, but this is expected as materials and paints heat up. The display shows the ou...

Started right up with no problems on the first try. Have yet to put it to any real work but I'm glad to have it

valve problem--

at a little over 300hrs the exhaust valve retainer broke and stopped generator from working--type of valve retainer is chinese junk--

7500 Watt good value

I ordered this generator after the winter storm in Texas (Feb. '21). I got it home and proceeded to go through the start-up steps. Fresh gas is a must! I looked it over and found there was no gauge to tell me how many watts I was using. The gauge on the generator will tell you what the generator puts out, voltage, cycles per second, hours run, but not what I'm using. I'll have to keep up with that on my own. portable generator - outstanding

Worked & performed great! Directions were simple to follow. My suggestion is to use gasoline first since it last longer and is cheaper than propane per the burn-hour rate. Overall, this unit performed Outstanding for 7 straight days without any issues.

Greatness

Love the electric start. wish it had a petcock valve to run out the gas from the carburetor.

Two house power for 55 continuous hours

We lost power during a recent ice storm and purchased this Firman generator to run our 4000 sqft home and 1200 sqft guest house, and shared well. This generator had plenty of power to restore lights, outlets, heat, and the 1HP well water pump for both houses (one house had a gas furnace while the other was electric heat). Awesome generator

The generator is awesome! I would highly recommend not bothering with Lowe's Website. It is jumpy and slow to load. Even after ordering online, I still had to wait longer than other customers that had not ordered ahead. I was treated like my order bothered them somehow.

MVP of snowmageddon

Very reliable and powered our heater, fridges, and a bunch of other electrical items during frequent power outages during a storm. Definitely on the loud side but not unreasonable for this type of generator. Plan to get a transfer switch installed to plug directly into the breaker box for future use to avoid the multiple extension cords.
